In the article, Feminism and Fairy Tales, Karen Rowe focuses on the impact that fairy tales have on relationships and expectations for women today. One may wonder why it is love that is so prominent in fairy tales, rather than something else. However, Rowe provides the answer in her writing by saying, “…marriage is an estate long sanctioned by culture and theoretically attainable by all women” (356). Rowe suggests that many women dream of some day meeting their own Prince Charming and essentially writing their own fairy tale. Where, in order to do so, fairy tales have led them to believe that there is such thing as a perfect love, that marriage saves a woman from the harsh realities in life, and that life only truly begins with marriage.

He protects his friends whenever anything happens to them. When Lucy got kidnapped by a rival guild, Phantom Lord, he was enraged and tried to find out where they were keeping her. Out of fear, they told him where she was being kept. Afterwards, he rushes off to save her. When Phantom Lord attempts to recapture Lucy, Natsu and the rest of the guild put their life on the line to defend Lucy. Even with the guild protecting Lucy, she was recaptured. Although Natsu takes protecting his friends to a whole different level, it is still something to admire in a character. Natsu Dragneel is fiercely loyal to his friends and his guild. In the quote, “When we’re all alone, it might be frightening to bear...but we’re all right beside each other. We’ve got our friends close by! Now there’s nothing to fear! Because we’re not alone!” (Chapter 247, pg. 11).

She feels very defeated that she didn’t accomplish what she really wanted to in that town, in the beginning she had many bright ideads and very creative and with dreams of creating a new culture in the town. At the end of the book all the excitement she had for the future was gone and she just decied to just become a wife and a mother to fit in with the

The conversation takes place after her affair is revealed and Nathalie convinces Brantain that the kiss she shares with Harvy was merely a form of familial affection. The end of aforementioned scene suggests that Nathalie's life starts to go as she wishes when "...they [turn] to retrace their steps [and] Brantain's face was radiant [while] hers was triumphant"(). The conclusion to this clip highlights Nathalie's belief in the fact that she is back in control of her life now that she has convinced Brantain to take her back, therefore causing the reader to think the same. This belief continues to be supported in the following paragraphs, in the beginning of Harvy and Nathalie's conversation. During their exchange, Nathalie surmises Harvy will kiss her, especially after Harvy says that Brantain has sent him over towards her to do so. Nathalie also expresses she "[feels] like a chess player who, by the clever handling of his pieces, sees the game taking the course intended"(). At this point, close to the end of the story, Nathalie, and the reader, are almost certain Nathalie has played her cards correctly and she will obtain everything she truly desires.
