It is the body's way of rising to a challenge and preparing to meet a tough situation with focus, strength, stamina, and heightened alertness" (Dowshen). Therefore, any event that may deal with family can be considered added stress on someone.

Family is an instant life-long relationship and with this relationship people have to deal with happy moments as well as the sad ones. When the sad ones come along, the family most of the time turn to each other when there is no one else. You become his/her shoulder to lean on. He/ She may come to you because they just broke up with a significant other or just something small like having a bad hair day. Regardless of what it may be, you end up having to play many roles in you family's life. All this role playing can cause stress because added on to whatever you are dealing with are all the issues of those in your family.

Family, is where you celebrate accomplishments together. It’s the place where you can support each other during the good and bad times and cling to in times of deep sadness. Family can provide the emotional fuel to keep going when the going gets tough. But there must be something going on outside of the family, some career, for there to be a need for this support .
Family is supposed to listen to you when you're in need. Family is supposed to have your back. Family is supposed to be loyal. Family is supposed to be dependable. Family is supposed to accept you at your worst and best moments. Family is supposed to make you laugh and smile. Family is the number one unconditional love that everyone has. Whether it be the unconditional love from immediate family members or close friends, everyone has that one person they go to in times of need. It’s funny how those closest to you can hurt you the most.
Family plays a crucial role in an individual's life. They affect your decisions and the way you live. Your family can either bring you down or lift you up and push you to do your hardest.
The relationships that are created with others define who we are as individuals, but the relationships we form with our family are unparalleled to that of any other. Family members are the people we count on in times of need and help make decisions that are in our best interest.
One word to describe family is team. Relating to a sports team, there will be players who struggle with getting along, but it doesn’t take long to realize that the team will not work if everyone doesn’t figure out a way to compromise with all the diverse personalities they’ve got. With family comes struggle and disappointment but that will only to an increased relationship of love and loyalty. No matter what it is, when family struggles and starts to see the family bond weaken it only opens their eyes to how much they need each other. Struggle leads to sadness which leads to loneliness and from that people need someone to rely on. Whether or not their struggles be with family sometimes they are too private and too personal for friends, so they lean back on family. In the book The Street of a Thousand Blossoms by Gail Tsukiyama she portrays a message similar to this throughout the entire book.
Stress can cause people to question their relationships, beliefs and spirituality, and everything that they hold dear. Friendships can become neglected in the belief that they might not have time for them. People can drop out of their usual social activities, again thinking that they do not have time or that they have stopped enjoying them. People can become withdrawn and uncommunicative, which affects their relationships with those whom they are close to.
Family is suppose to always be there for you no matter the circumstance. My family has always supported me in everything in my life and have helped me through some
A family is the single most influential factor in the life of an individual. Being in a family brings with it support, relationships, connections, and love that is rarely found anywhere else in a person’s life. However, families are not all the same. Each individual family structure is unique when compared to the next. When looked at from a general perspective there are two main groups of which families fall into.
- Family can sometimes demand increasing attention from us, especially as they get older. Guilt can factor in as we feel more and more compelled and are required to become more engaged in caring for elderly parents or demanding teenagers who need driving everywhere. Changing our mindset and appreciating that this is a temporary situation can be a help. We may look back on these exhausting times with nostalgia when the people are not with us anymore.
A family can shape one’s identity. A family can guide you through life. They can be supportive and helpful. This is important
Family is important to have in life. Family may seem to be struggling at times, when you have your mind on the fun things that come with family. For example when Huck was living with the widow. The widow would then be considered his family or his mother
As John Krakauer said in Into the Wild, “Happiness is only real when shared.”6 Family the most important thing in my life. I know that I always have people watching my back and making sure I am safe. Family is not necessarily just biological or blood relatives. Family, in my case, is bigger than just my biological family. My family includes my parents and relatives as well as the friends and families that watch out for me as I do for them. The idea of family really appeals to me because it has most influence on people growing up. For me, my family was the most influential part in my growth and character, but they will not be there forever. One day they will pass away leaving everything to me to start a family of my own.
My family has always been very close. We spend a great deal of time together and express our deep feelings and emotions with one another. If one of us has an issue, every member of the family is aware of it and shares the burden. When a person in the family does not share significant information about one’s life with the rest of the members, there is hurt feelings. Also, if a member cannot attend a family event, the family feels disappointed and misses the absent member. It is evident that connectedness is held as extremely valuable.
At one time or another, most people experience stress. The term stress has been used to describe a variety of negative feelings and reactions that accompany threatening or challenging situations. However, not all stress reactions are negative. A certain amount of stress is actually necessary for survival. For example, birth is one of the most stressful experiences of life. The high level of hormones released during birth, which are also involved in the stress response, are believed to prepare the newborn infant for adaptation to the challenges of life outside the womb. These biological responses to stress make the newborn more alert promoting the bonding process and, by extension, the child's physical survival.
A family can be defined in many ways, but the common denominator in all is the love and fulfillment one gets by being surrounded by family members. Families can sometimes be at odds with each other, but the strain of this type of relationship usually creates an upsetting feeling to the people involved. People want others to rely on, talk to, do things with, share, love, embrace, and be part of. No matter what the family dynamic is the qualities the word family has will remain the same, as time goes by, and life evolves once again for every person living their
