At the beginning of the story, everybody feels something that perhaps they have not felt before, what they all felt is called fear. Everytime someone screamed, saying horrible things to each other, fear was expressed. Fear is something that affects human beings every day by saying and doing actions that we aren't supposed to say or do. Even Though fear is not always affecting us, we still do things wrong. All the things we do, say, and think incorrectly, we do it because we are human beings and we are meant to make mistakes in order to learn from them. The humanity and the fear can affect us as much as affected the boys, we don’t realize the power of them until we actually mix them (like the boys did) and then they produced chaos, even deaths. …show more content…

Once they expressed the fear, differents types of things happened like disorganization, less hope, and horror among the boys. (Law and Order) "We've got to have rules and obey them. After all, we're not savages. We're English, and the English are best at everything. So we've got to do the right things." (Golding 42)
In social experiment titled the “Milgram experiment” a group of scientists gathered people to gather other “participants”, those participants were actually an audio recording playing. The people electrocuting the others believed that the participants we strapped in and could not move. The more questions the people on the other side would get wring the higher and more painful the electrocutions would get.Even when the “people” on the other side would yell out to stop and were begging for mercy they would continue to shock them because the scientist said it was okay. This relates to how in the “Lord of the Flies” by William Goldings when all the littluns began to beat and hurt simon just because jack was saying it was okay and didn't stop them. This proves that humans are born good but are taught to be evil.
“There isn’t anyone to help you. Only me. And I’m the Beast … Fancy thinking the Beast was something you could hunt and kill! … You knew, didn’t you? I’m a part of you? Close, close, close! I’m the reason why it’s no go? Why things are the way they are?”

We might all have been in a situation where we did something bad just to fit in. Your partner was insulting another group member, and you joined him out of the fear of being the odd one out. You knew that he was doing something bad and instead of stopping it you joined in. You had the fear of being excluded and it made you do something you might not do. Which Golding explains in his book, Lord of the Flies, how the children in the book are afraid from a beast, and it caused them to kill one of their own.

Fear is a very strong emotion. It’s created by the thoughts we create in our minds. We can all choose whether we listen to those thoughts or if we push it to the back of our minds and carry on with our day. Sometimes fear is good. It tells us that we should get out of a dangerous situation or place. Other times, it can be evil. It controls and sabotages us. It haunts us everyday. Controlling people, like Jack, use it to their advantage. Other people, like Ralph, push them to the back of their minds and focus on the more important things in life. Simon comes face to face with the fear and evil.
“All good is hard. All evil is easy. Dying, losing, cheating, and mediocrity is easy. Stay away from easy.” -Scott Alexander.
The boys in the book, The Lord of the Flies, are controlled by their fear of the beast. This fear is not of the beast itself, but of the unknown. It comes from not knowing whether or not a beast exists.
One of the main themes of this book is the loss of innocence, owing to children who became more and more fierce. At the very beginning, these children who survived in the aircraft accident were puerile and knew nothing. To live in the island, they learned to kill animals, with each passing day, they came to the hideous side.
In the novel not everyone reacts the same to terror, some overcome it and show signs of greatness. An example in the novel is Ralph; “"I'm chief," said Ralph, "because you chose me. And we were going to keep the fire going. Now you run after food--"” (137). In the novel there is a group of boys; Ralph, Simon and Piggy, that do not believe in the existence of the beast. Nevertheless, they still have fears, but they choose to overcome them for the better of the group and try to lead. Here it is evident that fear can bring different type of leaders, like Jack and Ralph, one acts on violence while the other acts on morals. In addition, the kids begin believing in the beast, they begin to give into fear. This is obvious when the following is said; “"The head is for the beast. It's a gift”” (137). Believing in the beast gives their fear power over them, it is controlling them. The unease they had toward the beast controlled them, Jack stepped up and said he could protect them; therefore, they end up choosing a bad leader on impulse in order to feel
