Freshmen Do Not Have What It's Takes to Join a Fraternity or Sorority Fraternities and Sororities are some of the elite groups on a college campus. Fraternities and Sororities consist of men or women that share common goals and aspirations. Members of the fraternities or sororities publicize their organizations on campus by volunteering, performing and hosting different events. Each member must maintain a GPA of a 3.0 or higher and participate in campus activities. Students who join these organizations have to be involved and leaders in their community. Students discover the need to develop their time management skills when they arrive at college. The transition from high school to college comes with different obstacles that students have to learn his or her freshmen year. Of high school, students have more time to complete assignments and have longer class time. However, in college students have less time to complete assignments and less class time. Some students look forward to joining a fraternity or sorority when they get to college. Being a part of a fraternity or sorority is a lifetime commitment, so students should learn about the history of the different organizations. Students envision fraternities or sororities by the parties, the drinking, and stepping, but sororities and fraternities are much more than just good parties.
