The need to stay consistent with my students as far as Classroom Procedures are concerned is important. I customarily will have the agenda displayed so the student’s can write it down. Occasionally, I will have a free-composition assignment in order to take attendance. I will utilize interactive scratch pad so students can do assignments in the journal and in addition to take class notes. The incentive behind this is to manage all the assignments in one area so they are not looking all over for single sheets of paper. In the scratch pad, students can show their creativeness in outlining a cover page for every unit. I will circumvent the room and stamp the homework every day it is expected and will gather the note pads every few weeks to
The first time I went to observation I was in his final period of the day. This class had around twenty-five to thirty students in this class. His final class is his AP English class. During this day their first assignment for the class was a writing assignment to help prepare them for the AP exams. Using this authentic activity will help the students prepare for this upcoming exam. While the students were writing their responses, John Dolphin explained to me that at first he had an outline which the students had to follow, but know they write their responses all on their own. This scaffolding made the students more independent on what they had to write about since he kept taking away more and more directions (Ormrod 2014). He explained that at first he wanted to have them write the
Thank you for sharing your post. I found it incredible enlightening to read how this assignment worked in a clinical setting with real clients. I enjoyed reviewing your check in questions as well as your choice to integrate a video, which I would assume is helpful for the visual learners and those new to breathing exercises. Through collectively sharing their positive coping mechanisms in response to anger, the participants are able to learn from each other. It is great that you were able to challenge the group to reflect on additional coping skills regularly utilized. It sounds to me that you were coming from a strengths perspective, encouraging them to identify their positive coping skills. This is especially important, because when

Asian taxes would rise to offset the lost revenue of monies from the factories that have shut down.

My work throughout this semester has been a lot different than my work in my current classes. I was able to do fun projects where the assignment did not actually feel like work. For my first assignment of analyzing the arts I got to research an artist that intrigues me. I was able to find an artist that created pictures that involved, and I chose this artist because I love dogs. Through this project I learned a lot about this artist and also many other artists through the presentations of my classmates. My second assignment involved me experience some type of art style. I was able to attend a concert that I had really been hoping to get to go too and this gave me the perfect excuse to attend. I was able to enjoy this concert, but also think about the music elements that I had learned about in class. I think this was a great way to apply what I had been learning about in class. My third assignment was creating in the arts, and I made a water picture that had two boats that were next to a dock. This assignment let me again apply what I have been learning about and also be in charge of what I created. I think this assignment let me be creative. My fourth assignment was creating an art integration lesson plan with a poster. I think this was beneficial because I got to take everything that I have learned about throughout the course and turn it into one project. I briefly showed my lesson on a poster along with my classmates. My lesson plan is about integrating dance, which is not a form that I had focused on for previous assignments. Overall, I think my knowledge about art education has grown. I think I have grown by being more confident in what I create and what I perform.
Not all students learn by writing the L.O in their notebook every day. There wouldn’t be a point in having these objectives in the notebook if the students do not comprehend the actual notes themselves. Some students learn better with visuals and drawing pictures in their notes. Others prefer corneal notes. We all have a different way of writing notes that most fit ourselves. If we write all the needed material, the way we would best learn it, then writing down the L.O isn’t necessary. The only hindrance would be that some students might not write any notes at all. The solution to this hindrance is for the teacher to not allow his/her students walk out until we show our notes. However, not taking notes will affect us in tests and quizzes, so this is a good way to make students more
The purpose of this assignment is to identify the theories, values and philosophies of care pertaining to own area of practice, describe how the personalisation agenda supports individual choice within service provision, demonstrate understanding of codes of practice and methods of service monitoring, describe the process of marginalisation/stigma and societal responses to de-valued individuals and groups including user involvement and advocacy and finally describe and discuss the principles and process of protecting vulnerable people. Have each student get out paper to take Cornell notes; If they don’t have pre‐printed Cornell note paper, have them draw or fold lines to set up the paper
The article I used for this assignment was from CNN and this article discusses the actions of six (6) Philadelphia Narcotics Officers who felt they were above the law. These six officers were charged with conspiracy, robbery, extortion, kidnapping and drug dealing. These officers reign of corruption spans out over six years in a scheme where the officers allegedly pocketed $500,000 in drugs, cash, and personal property, including Rolex watches and designer suits (Assefa, 2014). These six officers used “gang-like” tactics to get drug dealers to turn over guns, beatings, and threats were made to extort money and/or drugs, hanging a drug dealer over a 18th story balcony before stealing property from him, and they held another suspect against his will in a hotel room by threatening him and his family members. Because of these six officers actions, more than 100 cases have been thrown out and they are investigating every narcotic case these officers have touched.
To help the ADD children in your class adapt to having a regular schedule, it makes it easier on you and them to have a daily task list. Having a list taped to the student?s desk creates a routine and ultimately helps the child focus on the work to be done. Eventually, the schedule will become a habit and that is the goal you are aiming for. Nonetheless, they may have a regular agenda, but that does not mean you will have their full attention at all times.
In my class at Peavy the students are allowed to go the bathroom at any time as long as they flip the sign on the door. The students are expected to work on their handwriting folder after they finish copying their vocabulary and sight words. When the kids do well the teacher gives them a puffball. When they misbehave she moves their clip down the posted sign. When they are very on target she moves them from the neutral position to the positive position.
Chalk.com is a unified solution that allows districts to map the curriculum, create unit plans, establish a scope and sequence, and deliver daily lesson plans in the classroom. The solution is built around curriculum specialists, teachers, and students working collaboratively to ensure the highest possible quality of education. A unified solution starts with the curriculum specialists who compile resources for classroom teachers. Teachers can automatically import those unit plans and other resources directly into their daily planners. This results in daily plans that align closely with the curriculum and takes ½ the time to create for teachers, allowing them more time and flexibility to focus on instructional strategies, methods and activities
However, Thaine (1996b) defended the usefulness of session planning and argued that if the tutor chose to make things up as they went along – having no real indication of the session aims or outcomes, “then nothing useful or meaningful can be achieved,” (Malamah-Thomas, 1987: 3) for either party. It is based upon this principle, therefore that the session aims and outcomes were written on the Smartboard for my learners. Although, I also understand that this process will not appeal to all learners.
