Freshman year, I imagined that year to be amazing. I wanted it to just have an awesome flow but did it? It did in the beginning then a bomb went off during the middle of the year and turned freshman year into a complete disaster. Freshman year was supposed to be about having a great start to the rest of your high school life before you enter the big bad world but other students just couldn't help themselves but to create that bomb during the middle of my freshman year. The year you were a tiny fish in a big pond. I remember freshman year being a complete disaster, there is so many juicy events that took part in making this year a disaster but the one that hits home the most was during the middle of the year. The day started off like a normal school, this day was actually turning out to be great. Of course, that did not last. I get this text from a friend saying “Hey, you need to check this out” there was a screenshot of a picture along with it. I couldn’t really see what it was so I clicked on it to get a better look. Before I tell you what the picture was, hold onto your hats because this is what made the rest of freshman year a disaster. I click on the picture, it was this instagram page with some girls private part completely showing. I immediately click out of it and text my friend back “Why are you sending this to me, I don’t want to see these type of things”. My friend replies back “Did you not see the username? It says that it is your account”. I click back on
Junior year was full of many new experiences. We were now classified as upper classmen! Just like any of the other years in high school this year had just as many ups and downs. One of the main stresses in eleventh grade was the SAT. For sure one of the scariest things that I have ever had to do. All of the preparation going into it and the amount of studying made me feel as if I wasn’t going to have a brain by the time the testing was over. I took college and career readiness, which really helped prepare me for what was to come. By this time in high school I had already had my job for a little over a month, so I already knew what to expect once school started. I am thankful enough that at my job you get to leave at seven because I hear many
Middle year in junior high was a tongue twister nightmare my perspective and evaluations on life switch and translated once again for me, I had to grasp onto everything I experienced last year, while concentrating on the present but also being involved in the experiences of my fellow elders. My head was so overpowered with sensibility and unknown resources of knowledge I thought my brain would dispatch from my
I believe freshman year of high school is essential in deciding whether a student drops out or stays on school. I believe that you should try your hardest freshman year so that you can stay motivated and get good start in high school.
Heading into my freshman year, life was going great; a majority of my friends were going to Hercules High and I had just come back from an amazing trip around the Caribbean. When the first day of freshman year came, I was simply overwhelmed with all sorts of emotions. Fear, happiness,
Freshman year. They say highschool is supposed to be the best 4 years of your life. I dont understand because i know in my heart thats a lie. All other friends went to diffrent schools so when i got to Fairfield high i didnt know anyone except one person whose name is Erin Randall. The lunch is 50 cents more than my old middle school whicjh is ridiculous;its like buying expensive gas daily. The first day wasnt as bad as people exaggerate in the tv shows and movies. I got lost on my way to 6th period because my english class was tucked away in the corner but this lovely woman helped me find my classroom. I guess she noticed my nonexsistent missing posters to find my english class or saw me akwardly wandering around it seemed fair to help me.
Throughout my sophomore year of highschool I had a hard time in Spanish and faced many challenges all year. About two weeks into the school year, there was an issue with my teacher and she was forced into retirement. This left myself and the rest of class with no teacher for over a month. Learning a new language was not the easiest thing for me and I could feel myself moving more behind the longer I went without a teacher. I had three more Spanish teachers that year making it harder to get into a routine to succeed in that class. By the end of the school I had to make the decision of whether or not I wanted to move on to the next level of Spanish. I felt that if I continued I would be setting myself up for failure in the language because of
Freshman year was a good year because I got to experience and see stuff like college games, college parties, and how serious it
Everybody has that one moment in their lives that changes everything. For some it happens at an early age and for others it happens later in life. This is a story about the moment that changed everything in my life. The sad thing is nobody know when their moment is going to happen, it could happen tomorrow, it could happen years from now. The day my life changed I wasn't expecting it to happen. That day was full of emotions and the following days, weeks and months were full of anger and questions. My life has consisted of situations, emotions, and lessons because of this life changing event.
Freshman year was a stressful year. I had to instantly adapt to a new, challenging curriculum. It was a whole new environment for me because I just came out of a private Catholic middle school where I did not really have to think of deciding for myself, and into one of the most prestigious public
During high school, I participated in a multitude of activities of different types each year. I joined my local YHEC, Youth Hunters Education Challenge, team the spring before my Freshmen year where I learned skills not only involving firearms and archery, but also orienteering, wildlife identification, and safety. Also, I was enrolled in the school’s choir for my first three years and the band for all four years. My Freshmen year was the last year I participated in Tae Kwon Do, although I was involved in it for three years prior. Discipline, respect, and the importance of physical health were emphasized in class and these years of practice and routine was rewarded when I received my black belt. However, as I became involved in high school,
For a long time, my life had been wonderfully mundane and pleasantly monotonous. Fittingly, I was just as static. I lived expecting little to change in myself as well as in others. But pleasures like consistency cannot always be enjoyed without interruption.
The summer before senior year is when many people attempt to reevaluate their lives, and change anything about themselves that does not satisfy them. One of the greatest motivators for change, is knowing that you should be better. Not just that you wish to be different, but knowing you have fallen short of your own potential. When I observed myself going into senior year, I knew that I had fallen short of my potential—I was not being my best self—and I set out to change that.
Let me start by saying that I have thoroughly enjoyed this class, senior year is supposed to be the best year of highschool and this class was nothing short of being the best. In past years I've struggled with getting behind the language arts class I was in, but this year everything changed. After towing a few essay deadlines very carefully I realized that writing is actually one of my stronger abilities in school. Now by no means am I a great writer but I consider myself as a mid “B” average on my papers. After taking this class during my senior year in highschool, I believe that I deserve an 85 percent in this class because of the effort I have put behind my papers and my ability to write a decent paper when it comes time.
Senior year of high school, while filled with excitement and anticipation, can be a stressful time for those applying to college. Deciding on a college is not like buying a new pair of shoes; shoes can be bought, taken home, and, if necessary, returned for something else. In this respect, colleges are not so forgiving. While the option to transfer exists in theory, the expense of transferring and the complicated logistics of transferring from one university to another leave students with limited options. High school seniors applying to colleges must think carefully about where they will be for the next four years. There are countless factors that each must consider in evaluating a prospective college, but each school’s academics and social life are two important factors that must be considered paramount. The University of Virginia (UVA) is one institution that offers top tier academics and a vibrant social scene.
My Senior year of high school was one of the best years of my life by far. I experienced so much throughout the year and grew so much as a person, experiencing new things and learning lessons along the way. I had a lot of hard times followed by some of the best times which introduced me to some people that have changed my life in many ways. I am thankful for everyone and everything that happened to me Senior year because it has made me who I am today.
