In certain situations, Friar Lawrence doesn’t seem to care about the disposition or the emotions of others; he tends to disregard the consequences of certain decisions and follows through with them anyway. When Friar Lawrence walks into the Capulet house on the day of the wedding, he is well aware of the situation at hand but decides to act like all is well. As he is walking into the house, he exclaims, “Come, is the pride ready to go to church?”(201). He knows that Juliet took the potion and he also knows that Juliet appears to be dead but he acts as he is unaware of the situation.
