Friar Lawrence plays a major role in Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet. Through his lack of organization and judgment, Friar Laurence is highly responsible for the deaths of both Romeo and Juliet. He is a member of a group of wise priests that only want good in the world but, at the end of the play, you realize that Friar Lawrence makes many mistakes throughout the story. There are three major points that lead to the that's of both Romeo, Juliet, and even Mercutio. The first was the marriage of which Friar Laurence had questionable intentions, the second was the plan that Friar Lawrence thought of which was risky and could have been taken care of another way, and finally the last is the disorganization and miscommunication responsible

In the Shakespearean tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawrence was a monk, and a counselor, who came up with intricate plots and concocted a seemingly magical elixir in order to solve problems that the lovers encountered. Friar Lawrence had a profound impact on the outcome of this Shakespearean play; however, in a way that led to catastrophe. There are many factors that caused the deaths of the lovers, but two of the most important were how Friar Lawrence disregarded his own logic, and how he missed numerous opportunities to save the lovers.

The first reason that Friar Lawrence is responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s tragedy, Is that he is a selfish and greedy man. He only wanted to bring them together because he wanted to be the hero of the town. The second reason that Friar Lawrence is responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s tragedy is that he rushes their marriage, He should’ve waited for them to really get to know each other. They’ve kissed twice and never been on a date or even have a normal conversation. Friar Lawrence only rushed them into the marriage because he wants to be the hero as fast as he can, he doesn’t even think to consider the consequences of what he is doing. If the marriage doesn’t work out, He could be forever hated by the families and he wouldn’t be the town hero. Friar Lawrence is a foolish man.

There are many people who are at fault for the death of Romeo and Juliet, but Friar Lawrence is at fault for many reasons. The story of Romeo and Juliet, written by Shakespeare is a story about two teenagers who are in love but have to keep it a secret because the two families of Romeo and Juliet hate each other. Friar Lawrence is the character most to blame for the tragic events in Romeo and Juliet because he let them get married behind the parents back, Helped Juliet get sleeping Poison, and also never told Romeo that Juliet was only sleeping.

Friar Lawrence is the man that married the two lovers and made the plan that went wrong causing the death of the young Romeo and Juliet. He didn’t get the letter to Romeo in time and he gave Juliet the sleeping potion. He also left Juliet alone with the body of her dead husband and she was also in a hostile state. Causing her to make a bad decision, killing herself.

Throughout the play Romeo and Juliet there are many different reasons that could have be held responsible for the death of both Romeo and Juliet. However, I think that there were three that stood out the most, the feuding families, Friar Lawrence, and fate. The first main reason of Romeo and Juliets death is, feuding families. I think that the lovers died because of the nonstop argueing between the Capulets and Montagues. Since the lovers were from the two arguing clans, the stress on both Romeo and Juliet would have been incredible.

There are many people in “Romeo and Juliet” who attributed to their deaths. Lord Capulet was a very mean man who never treated his daughter right. Friar Lawrence didn’t mean to do any harm, but he did! Friar John had one job, but failed, which led to the kids death. Therefore, Romeo and Juliet weren’t at fault for their deaths because they had help from Lord Capulet, Friar Lawrence, and Friar John.

Gulp! There goes the poison out of Romeo’s bottle. Ugh! There goes Juliet stabbing herself once she sees her husband dead. Romeo and Juliet’s death was tragic, but who was most responsible for their death?
