I am a good student, capable of reaching my objective at UF. Additionally, I believe that I possess traits necessary to help me prevail and complete the goal of becoming an Electrical Engineer. One of my best qualities, I feel, is the determination to complete the task; so far, whenever I have been tested, I have risen to the occasion. Last year I took a class that challenged me out of my comfort zone, yet it was the most rewarding. I know that UF will offer me the same endeavor to succeed in my aspirations. I am looking forward to joining the UF community and I hope to contribute to the Gator

One thing that is unique about me that might not be apparent from my application is my undying will to tenaciously improve myself. In high school, I started playing football and I was literally the weakest and one of the worst players on my team. Instead of not believing in myself and quitting football, I tenaciously, toiled every day for three years until I improved my strengths and weaknesses as a player. Eventually those around me took notice of my massive improvement and I have since applied this unique aspect of myself into everything that I pursue. With the intent of becoming a Professional Engineer, I would like to transfer to Texas A&M University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. The purpose of my essay is to explain to you exactly why I want to transfer to Texas A&M and how joining Texas A&M would profit me.

During my career at SUNY Orange, I have grown by leaps and bounds. I have mastered my short comings, earned a 3.5 GPA, made the Dean’s list three semesters and running, earned the Peter Albergani Inspirational Scholarship, and I was selected to attend the Exploring Transfer Program at Vassar College. SUNY Orange has opened many doors for me, doors I did not even know existed. I was not sure that I wanted to attempt to get my Bachelor’s degree, seeing as just getting my Associates degree was more than I ever imagined I would accomplish. That all changed when I was given the opportunity to experience what it would be like to attempt learning at a four year institution.
Ever since I was born, my blood ran blue and orange. in fact, my parents often joke that I came out of the womb doing a gator chomp. Being from Nebraska, I am surrounded by die-hard University of Nebraska Cornhuskers fans that frequently run my ear off about being a Florida Gator fan. But being a very small minority has never stopped me. During elementary school, I was known as the "Gator girl" and that name has followed me to this day. I am rarely seen not sporting some sort of Florida Gator gear, my car is completely decked out with a Gator wheel cover and several stickers, and I even go so far as to annoy all my friends on Twitter. I fill their feeds with numerous Florida retweets, ranging from sports updates to even weather updates. I was
Whether it be in Political Science, Law Studies, Sport Management, or perhaps a study I haven’t yet considered. I will contribute to the student population of optimists and go-getters, and refrain from staying idle while life passes by. It is imperative to take action on set goals to avoid being left behind with the masses. As a Gator, there is a self-expectation to have a sharp motivation; to be inclined to apply oneself to any task with a sharp focus. I plan to impact this campus with the drive to change my life and improve those’ around me. If admitted to the University of
My first year at the University of Alabama has been a great experience. I am majoring in Chemistry with a current GPA over 3.9. My ultimate goal is to use this degree and the knowledge I obtain to become accepted into medical school. By awarding me the Steven V. Mitchell #2 Crimson Scholarship, you have greatly lightened the financial burden on my family. This scholarship has allowed me to focus my efforts on studying and being involved at the university. This past
I am disciplined, determined, motivated, and prepared to work hard for my future as a cosmetologist. Your school offers me the opportunity to study what I am passionate about by helping me have hands-on experience and knowledge, live in a city I love, be near the people I care about, and most importantly, fulfill my dream of a career in the cosmetology
While the application was throughouh in most of its different sections, I would like to take the time to write more about me as a person, and my personal work ethic. While it could be assumed that I am a good student from my high honors and my advanced classes, those are all just numbers. Numbers cannot justify someone as a good or a bad student. It is my belief that the personal ethic and strageis to schooling along with drive for success is what sets apart the great students from the good students.
I am aware that I do not posses the most impressive test scores, but I have much more to offer to your institution than high test scores. My involvement in various extracurricular activities has prepared me to be a very influential student on campus. To begin with, my involvement in student government as the class president for three consecutive years is a representation of my strong leadership skills, and my dedication to serve others. Next, my participation in Chicago Scholars and the National Honor Society are both testimonies to academic achievement despite of my test scores because these are both highly selective programs that look at academic achievement as a enrollment requirement. In addition, my two year dedication to the varsity
To progress, facing new challenges are crucial, which are not easy to find. The more I learned, the more curiosities were grown, and to follow the trail of success, I had to seek for more opportunities. Some asked me why I was wasting time and money, but nothing could be determined in a way in any such circumstances. Proving something requires myriad and meticulous works, but the sweet taste of the achievement can not be compared to anything else. Hearing of Georgia Tech with challenging classes and lecture, it gave me strong pull to apply. Difficult tasks and assignments had always motivated me, and the expectations Georgia Tech expects and I expect from Georgia Tech truly excited
