Geography influences an individual worlds view in many ways. It impacts the location of where you choose to live and where you would like to have your family. What you wear is influenced by the geography also, because if the climate is colder you would have to wear more layers, unless you would live to freeze and die but if you live in a warmer climate they would have to wear less layers. Geography would also be influenced in what you value, for example if you live in Canada you would value forests more because we have 9% of the forests on earth. The lifestyle of someone who lives in japan would be very different from someone who lives in Canada would. How physically active you are might also be determined by the geography, for example if you
Regionalism is a political ideology based on a collective sense of place or attachment, and is discussed in terms of Canadian society, culture, economy and politics (Westfall, 3). Canada is known internationally as a nation incorporating several multiregional interests and identities into its unification of culture. Its diverse population is comprised of numerous ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations and traditions; and all resides under one federal government. Ever since the founding of Canada, it has developed into regional cleavages and identities, based on various geographical topologies, lifestyles and economic interests (Westfall, 6). It is these characteristics which make it problematic for the federal government to represent
When it comes to certain qualities and attributes of the United States of America and Canada, many people residing elsewhere fail to tell the difference. The accents of people from certain parts of both countries, for instance, are so incredibly indistinguishable that they baffle any and everyone. Besides this one factor, they even share some comparable cultural characteristics, such as driving on the right side of the road and cherishing the same basic human rights to the utmost importance. Likewise, there are several similarities between multiple aspects of the countries’ respective governments, including within their individual established frameworks, political systems, and their divisions of authorities and duties. These could potentially point out a reason as to why Canada and the United States are immensely successful in their particular objectives, and are on their paths to achieving their long-term goals with difficult to accomplish, yet beneficial visions. After all, they are both either on the way to becoming or currently are two of world’s leading superpowers (Financial Post). However, there is not just one particular infallible way to rule a country and push it to further advancement simultaneously. In fact, each country works and functions differently, which is primarily due to individual background and history. Ultimately, although Canada and the United States of America are both nations that share similarities in various parts of their Constitutions, political
In the source the author clearly believes that the events of the past should not be dwelled upon, even if they have negative consequences in today’s society. The speaker believes that the current generation is not accountable for the actions of their ancestors, and the legacies of these actions should simply be accepted into the modern world. There are those, such as the owners of large corporations, who would embrace this perspective, because their focus is to continue to secure and grow their companies in the future, not consider past events that may affect their position today. Old corporations, such as the Hudson Bay Company, likely have helped shape some of the legacies of historical globalization in Canada, but their focus is maintaining

Even though it seems that Richard got a lot of the abuse, it's always been like this for French Canadians in Quebec. French Canadians have never been able to coexist with English Canadians and have always felt like second class citizens to English Canadians. The reason why they have never been able to coexist with them is due to the fact that they have never been able to make a decision together and have almost always been on opposite sides of each decision. For example, when prohibition was created in the 1920s, Quebec had more than 70% people vote no. However, almost every other province ha people vote more than 50% people vote yes.
We had two presentation groups in our geography class. The class started with the first group’s presentation and it was about chapter six Quebec. They explained that Quebec’s historical geography can be divided into 3 periods: New France, British Occupation and Confederation. Then they talked about Quebec’s physical geography, economy, hydro- electricity, and environmental challenges in Quebec. They presented that hydro Quebec is the major producer of electric power in Canada and the disposal of industrial waste into St. Lawrence River is a huge environmental challenge in Quebec. Then they showed us a short video clip and moved onto talking about tourism and nationalism in Quebec. At the end, we played “Kahoot” for the class activity. Then

Life in Nunavut would be different compared to the rest of Canada because of various reasons. Nunavut is the known as the newest territory in Canada, making it the least populous. Since, Nunavut is the least populous there are more job opportunities there for the people compared to other provinces/territory and based on the graph there are a great deal of young people living there which is perfect for them, but due to it lacking of population there may not be a lot of locations of stores, groceries etc. Since there are not much people, people/families might be closer to each other because there aren’t a lot of people to talk to.

Modern Canada was introduced to the global village of communication through fields like the internet and radio, allowing for a broader area of global discussion that could bring about ideas as to how Canada can deal with its geographic limitations. While the populated areas of Canada have advanced over time, it enabled the collection of knowledge over the country through study where the most livable and preferred conditions are often shaped through construction to fit the needs of modern Canadians. However, there are still limitations laid about over Canada, such as the locations and occasional colliding of tectonic plates as its varied landscape of regions can lead to a few changes that need to be made to support an area for human life,

From what I have learned city governments provide some of the most challenging, dynamic, learning-centric environments where opportunities to make a difference abound through numerous opportunities. Often from what I have seen the staff is smaller, and so is the budget and other resources and yet the issues that arise didn’t shrink as well, so creative and quick solutions are more frequently needed. I want to start building experience working in government and I want to do it at the local level because I see meaningful and challenging work. Moreover I have spent many years developing excellent skills, including communication, problem solving and research capabilities and working in Little Canada will allow me to take the next step while doing something that matters to Minnesotans. This important job will give me the opportunity I have been seeking to further develop my skills while offering my love for creative solutions when the opportunity arises. From what I have read thus far the Little Canada government favors people who consistently deliver simple and sound solutions to problems in a timely and professional manner. This is why I want to become a part of your government
