The Andes Mountains rise through much of central Ecuador. About half the people live in the valleys and on the plateaus of the Andes. Quito, Ecuador's capital, lies more than 9,000 feet (2,700 meters) above sea level on an Andean plateau. A flat, partly forested, tropical plain extends west of the Andes along the Pacific Ocean. This coastal plain is developing faster than any other part of the country. About half the Ecuadorian people live there.

Dyson Steph “Bolivia: Make time for South America’s most misunderstood country” October 12th, 2015, 1 page. Steph does a series of breakdowns highlighting all the “Misconceptions” that contribute to the low minimum of visitors the city actually receives. Compared to the popular neighboring South American countries such as Peru, Brazil and Argentina. Argentina was said to have 5.6 million visitors while Bolivia only received 800.000. Steph’s first focal point was that people may misconceive the locals of not being friendly but in fact it’s the inability of them being able to speak Spanish. Steph notes the unresponsiveness of the natives is just their incompetence during transactions with the tourist. Safety has also been a high plague on tourist

Juan Evo Morales Ayma is the current president of Bolivia, elected on December 2005, and is running a third presidential term. He was born into a small, rural home in poverty, but overcame that when he was maturing. He began to love leadership as an adolescent. As an adult, his position as leader of coca-leaf farmers’ unions allowed him to escalate his position to presidency. Evo Morales is a president with a rich backstory, and should be considered an idol for people to admire.
