The major emphasis in education for the 21st century is on data driven accountability measured by student performance on standardized testing. National and state expectations require students to demonstrate mastery of curriculum objectives. Instructional objectives are the focus of the building principals to show measurable student progress. The improvements are evaluated based on data and monitoring of the curriculum. The superintendent must help board members, district staff, principals and teachers understand their important roles in the evaluation of curriculum. Teachers should begin to selecting evaluating techniques as soon as they identify their instructional goals. (Oliva, 2013 p. 310) The classroom teacher must answer questions such as: What are the objectives to be accomplished based on instruction, what topics to cover, what procedures for best direction for learning and who do we evaluate learning (Oliva and Gordon p.247) The students and parents should ask how does the learning meet real world 21st century expectations, what does the test scores measure, how can I perform on task? The community leaders should ask if the children are safe as they attend school, how effective is the transportation and travel to the school. Are there jobs and resources for the students after they graduate from school? Local colleges and schools should ask how can I establish a relationship with the school to continue in the development of the child after
From the very beginning of the course, teachers should begin to analyse their learners through initial assessment methods. The assessments best suited to guide improvements in student learning are quizzes, tests, writing assignments, and other assessments such as a group activity. The First Industrial Revolution occurred from 1780-1850 and changed the way people lived and worked worldwide. New technologies and manufacturing processes were changing lives across the globe. These synergistic advances led to more developments and social consequences began to arise. The way people worked was changing as well as the way they would live.
The two most significant environmental or physical geographic factors that contributed to the development or expansion of the United States is the California Gold Rush and the Irish Potato Famine. The first most significant factor was the California Gold Rush. Before gold was officially discovered in Northern California on January 24, 1848, Kelly (n.d.) states that the entire population of the California territory was around 25,000. A few years after California was admitted as the 31st state in The Union in 1850, a special census was taken and the population had grown to 223,856. Kelly (n.d.) also states that in San Francisco alone, the population was approximately 800 in 1848 to well over 50,000 at the close of 1849.
During bone marrow transplants children are in the hospital for extended period. During this time the nurse spends a lot of time with the child and family. The parent’s may be more comfortable talking to the nurse when they have question’s and concerns.
If I were principal, my plan to improve school community relations would begin with a whole school concerted to effort to learn about the new cultural groups in the community and provide opportunities for school community members to come together to build relationships with the new families. Secondly, I would make sure to introduce myself to the new community members and use my people skills to build relationships with new businesses and community
The city of Louisville hosts approximately 100 special events for the community every year. The events bring millions of dollars to the economy and range from the Kentucky Derby, Iron Man, World Feast, University of Louisville events, concerts, and many more. There is no doubt the events pose a positive impact on the city and local businesses.
B) The intended purpose of Industrial or Economic regulation as applied to Oligopolies and Monopolistic market structures is used to reduce the market power of both! A government commission regulates the prices charged by “natural monopolists.” Industrial Regulation is necessary to prevent natural monopolies from charging monopoly rates which may harm consumers/ society. Industrial Regulation tries to establish pricing that will cover production costs and provide a fair amount of return to businesses. Price=Average Total Cost, where normal profit is accomplished. (governs pricing, output, & profits in specific industries).
This is very convenient for each province to control the sale and revenue. People wondering why it has to be different provincial liquor boards but not just one and apply to every provinces and territories. The answer is to keep the market under control for each and every province in order to maximize revenue, making it easy to keep track of the sale and consumption through their own network of retail stores.
A variety of data will be required to test the theory of effectiveness being employed. Firstly, data will be required regarding incidences where in EMNC could be faced with lawsuits ranging from: patient negligence to a, failure to protect nursing staff and other health care workers from injury. Other data will come from the literature on health care giver standards that have been shown to help avoid lawsuits, (e.g. failure to use equipment in a responsible manner, failure to communicate, failure to document patient care and failure to act as a patient advocate).

As a school nurse in an urban middle school setting conducting a study to test the effect of a coaching intervention for students with Type 1 Diabetes, I would first need to formulate my PICO question. In this case it would be “In middle school students with Type 1 Diabetes, what is the effectiveness of coaching intervention on student understanding?” Type 1 diabetes is a chronic condition which usually occurs during childhood or adolescence due to genetics and exposure to certain viruses (Mayoclinic.org, 2016).
Prior to meeting for the Problem Identification, Stage 1, Ms. Bellot and I spoke on the phone and I briefly explained what consultation and the collaboration efforts that would be needed in the process. She agreed to participate in the consultation process and she was asked to complete a Social History form to gather additional background information on Brianna. Ms. Bellot understood the questions and did not omit any answers.
As is the case with any type of evidence seizure, what is fair game and what is off limits needs to be identified and set, preferably in writing before any work is done. (Nelson, Phillips, & Steuart, 2015). This ensures that the forensics team will be protected in the worst case scenario where the company could have an issue with what was taken, very similar to the protection ethical hackers require when performing a penetration test (##). Once this list is created, the team will interview the system administrators to provide any information allowed about the systems such as the equipment, system baselines, passwords that are allowed to be shared, and any special information that would need to be known before analyzing the system such as what information is logged and where would it be stored (Rowlingson, 2004). The entire purpose of this information gathering is to paint a clearer picture of the situation so a more detailed plan could be devised prior to any systems being touched.
I still remember it as if it was yesterday, waking up with a throbbing left ankle that I had broken while snowboarding not 2 and half months earlier. Hobbling out the door in the snow as I went to the car, thinking that I should be on leave and enjoying the snow, but instead I was going to work. We were conducting a military deployment exercise, and I didn’t want to be at work. I was a gorgeous day outside; the sun was shining, no wind to speak of, and it was a breathtaking day.
