Global Warming: A Money-Making Gimmick or a Money-Making Reality?
Global Warming, for years we have been listening to this term, whether it be in middle school or later on; we have always been given the same definition for it- “a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth 's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants”,(Global Warming:
News, Facts, Causes & Effects”). Throughout our school life, we have been taught and tested on this definition and its causes and effects. However, the question remains, is global warming a phenomenon caused due to human carelessness or is the increasing temperature a natural occurrence? The documentary The Global Warming Swindle builds up its authenticity by introducing its participants and interviewees, who are mostly top scientists and reputed researchers in the field of climate study and change, and goes on to present facts, statistics, and data to prove their stand- Global Warming is not man-made and is only propaganda to promote fear of extreme climate change, for scientists to benefit from, therefore, concluding with an effective message and providing sufficient information to support this documentary.
The documentary introduces a new perspective on global warming. For years, we thought CO2 emissions via human beings and their resources contributed to the Earth’s increasing temperatures and eventually led to
We've all heard about global warming as well as climate change. Climate Change is the buildup of massive amounts of man made greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere. Causing the Earth's temperature to slowly rise over a long period of time. The amount of carbon dioxide in the air has increased rapidly over the years. Climate Change is a global problem and recently an issue more and more people are paying attention to.
The world economy is a very complex system; in the system harmful externalities disrupt capital flows and determine economic productivity. Most notable of these externalities is inadvertent global warming. Spending towards research and regulation of climate change at both the national and international level are very important in determining current and future business trends. Economists and scientists worldwide continuously debate the pros and cons of emissions reduction and what consequences can quickly follow. Though many have different views on the issue, all can agree that the immediate and long term effects of climate change have become an economic matter of paramount importance. The sweeping impact from climate change will have important fiscal, financial, and macroeconomic ramifications that influence global commerce standards.
Global warming is hot topic nowadays. Alarmists and scientists fight to make their statements known, but while the alarmists avoid the scientist, non-governmental organizations pass themselves as scientist. They not only give out exaggerated data, they also have the nerve to accuse humans of being the cause of global warming. Also, we cannot be certain that we are being told the truth without knowing exactly what is really going on behind the scenes. We blindly trust those in authority because we think that they have our greater good in mind and that whatever they say must be the truth.
So according to science, the earth is warming up and it’s all man’s fault. These scientists and politicians want you to believe
He wrote, "There is no consensus, unanimous or otherwise, about long-term climate trends and what causes them," in the Wall Street Journal. The fact that Global Warming, if it is a problem, is such a little problem that such high attention for the Kyoto Protocol leads to it being laced with alternative power hungry plans. The seriousness of the hidden agenda of environmentalists must be considered in the prevention of the Kyoto intervening in our sovereignty. The Protocol -- it seems-- is not about global warming at all.
Global warming is the growth of Earths normal temperature due to greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide (CO2) from burning fossil fuels or from deforestation. The headache of global warming is that there are two very different sides and positions around the topic. Some scientists strongly believe that global warming is occurring and other scientists strongly believe that the whole story is fabricated and not true. While these scientists are interpreting, and observing the same data and in similar ways, they continue to draw different conclusions and use separate pieces of that data to formulate their own position and arguments. While both sides refuse to accept each other, they still do find some areas of agreement and understanding. Both agree
Since 1975, the surface of the earth 's average temperature has risen by 0.9 degrees Fahrenheit; global warming caused by greenhouse effect has become the focus topic of the world. It has long been recognized academically that due to the burning of coal, oil, natural gas and so on the carbon dioxide is the main culprit of global warming. I watched a documentary, which called “The Great Global Warming Swindle.” In the documentary, the scientists pointed out that there is no direct evidence that carbon dioxide is the cause of global warming, global warming is more of propaganda, a kind of political activity. Normally, as an amateur people, should write this article emphasizes their neutrality, but actually, I agree with BBC.
Global climate change, something that most people in the world are not taking as seriously as they should. Many people believe that climate change is a phenomenon; a conspiracy theory to engage people into spending more money. When the world became industrialized, we lost our way on protecting our Earth, our only planet. Industrialization is why our environment is in critical condition. Advocating and government officials are necessary for a decrease of Greenhouse Gas emissions into our atmosphere. For our environment to thrive, changes need to happen and they can begin with yourself.
“Global warming refers to the recent and ongoing rise in global average temperature near Earth 's surface. It is caused mostly by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Global warming is causing climate patterns to change. However, global warming itself represents only one aspect of climate change” (Climate Change, EPA.gov).
Supporting parties allege that global warming does not result from human activity, rather the natural climate cycle by disapproving scientific research data and results and questioning
One sunday morning, a couple months go a family sat huddled up together holding on for their lives. A tornado was passing through Pensacola, Florida. The family's house ended up getting ripped apart by a twister sending all of the parents belongings everywhere, they held on tight until they couldn't hold any longer. The couple was killed and their son and four grandchildren were injured when one of the twisters destroyed their mobile home. Did this family cause their own destruction? Is that what people need to blame bad weather on? Did the fact they they drove suv’s and didn't live a completely green life lead to their death ultimately by global warming, the supposed maker of all bad weather nowadays? No it didn't, that family died because
Global warming, or what is now called climate change, is caused by the sunlight coming through the Earth’s atmosphere, containing greenhouse gasses, and becoming cemented between the Earth’s crust and Ozone layer. This causes an uncontrollable heating in the territory between them (“Global Warming Science”). “Even though these greenhouse gases hold the heat from the sun the greenhouse effect is what keeps the Earth’s temperature suitable for life. Without the greenhouse effect Earth would be frozen and no one would be able to live on it” (“Global Warming- Britannica”). Many people believe that climate change is a myth and that it is not true due to the consequences are too harsh for a normal person to think of, the
Are we ruining the globe for our descendants; or are we finding a way to power our cars, lights, and homes? This is the question of global warming. I say this: global warming isn’t all it’s made out to be. There have been little, if any effects. We aren’t necessarily warming either. Although I know this for sure: WE ARE NOT THE CAUSE! To know what is going on, lets look at the big picture. Let’s start off at co2.
Global warming has become a world wide issue and an issue that is causing great controversy. It is an increase in the earth's atmospheric and oceanic temperatures widely predicted to occur due to an increase in the greenhouse effect resulting especially from pollution (Dictionary). Global warming is a natural process, but because of increase in certain activities this process is taking a faster and more dangerous route creating global problems. Global warming was first theorized in 1894 by Jean Baptiste Joseph Fourier a French mathematician, who noticed the earth was gradually increasing in temperature. He came to the conclusion that the earth’s atmosphere was trapping solar radiation caused by the sun and reflecting this radiation back to
Global warming, we see it as sad polar bears hopelessly swimming for their lives in the ocean. It's shown as rising sea levels that can washout entire cities. It even sometimes gets turned into politics but scientifically, what is the definition of global warming?
