Global pollution will nevertheless become a bigger problem than just the melting of the arctic iceberg, or the nearby extinction of several species, but it will, in eventually in near future, result in the extinction of humanity in this planet. Global warming, a term that mean the Earth itself is becoming hotter and hotter. Carbon dioxide is released primarily by burning coal and petroleum products such as gasoline(Lerner). According to the AMS( American Meteorological Society), human activity is affecting the climate of the Earth and the primary cause of air pollution. Even though U.S. has been effectively resolve the problem with air pollution; however, according to the UN( United Nations), the early year of 2007, we produced twenty percent of the world’s total emissions(Bill). In addition, it is predicted that in the next decade, the amount of emission that the U.S. produces will be approximately twenty percent higher than in 2007(Bill) and reach the pollution level that of china and it will be almost impossible to recover from such catastrophe. Even though emissions are generally, largely come from industrial wastes, a considerable amount came from vehicles and transportation system that rely heavily on gasoline and diesel as fuel. According to Holtz, an american urban design and architect critic, every second, the U.S. use 3,000 gallons of petroleum and produce sixty-thousands pounds of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere which is equivalent to two- thirds of U.S. total carbon dioxide emissions(Holtz). In a viewpoint about global warming, Holtz argues that the cost of automobile is enormous in terms of environmental damages(Holtz). Nevertheless, the solution toward this problem with automobile has already been introduced ever since the beginning of the 20th century, hybrid and
