Name three things you couldn't live without. FAMILY, including 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren and at least one cat! SINGING in vocal music groups and a handbell choir (which Julie directs). VITAMINS, I'm a staunch believer, and I give them much credit for my healthy 79 years! FINALLY, I am overwhelmingly proud of the fact that Julie (class of 1992) and I (class of 1955) are considered a Linden Hall Legacy. We have had great fun over the years comparing "my years" and "her years" and the amazing way Linden Hall has evolved structurally and academically, and still there are teachers and shared activities beloved
I am an active member of my school and community. At school I feel that i've gained the respect of my peers being elected as Student Council representative for the past four years. I have also been elected the treasurer of the choir, and secretary of the band. I am part of the Ross Middle School bucket drumming group and have been casted as part of the school theatre’s annual play. After school on Wednesdays I assist Ms. Rullman in helping students with homework and enhancing study methods. I am currently participating in science olympiad and have in the past. I am also an anchor on the popular Good Morning Ross Middle School weekly news show. In addition, I have been a part of National Junior Honor Society which takes part in service projects
That is exactly what I did. I am glad I fought because if I didn't fight I wouldn't be here today to tell you my story that has made me who I am today. Even though I had some difficulties learning in school I didn't get discouraged I tried my hardest and wouldn't give up and because I didn't give up I am currently nineteen years old and about to graduate from high school and have been on honor roll for four years in a row and was inducted into The National Honor Society my sophomore.
Senior year rapidly is coming to an end, I’ve had the opportunity to see many of my friends come to the exciting moment in their life when they sign that dotted line and I was still waiting on my chance. My entire life I had dreamt of the day to finally committed to a college basketball team, this was my goal and it had to be my purpose in life. January 18, 2015 at 4:41 PM I got an exciting text from Truett-Mcconnell’s head coach, Matt Sanders, stating,” Good afternoon Claudia this is Coach Sanders from Truett-Mcconnell College, and I really feel like we need to begin the recruiting process with you! Sorry to bother you on a Sunday, but I just didn’t want to let time slip away! I look forward to hearing back from you!” Here was my chance!
We all have friends, but some are closer than others. For me, I have friends from all over like California, Sedalia, New Franklin, and Jefferson City because I went to school in all of these places. Pilot Grove is my favorite school though and I would like to thank all my friends that are here.
The announcement calling all of the students to the gym rings through the staticky PA system of Ansel Parker Elementary School. Today is the day that Miguel Adriano would be here. Yes, THE Miguel Adriano. The world famous soccer star and multimillionaire will be here giving a speech. Most kids would be excited. But, let’s just say that the mothers of these kids would rather be meeting Miguel than the kids.
I will never forget where I came from. Benton Harbor Charter School was home for me. It hit home for me knowing that I had a wonderful teacher that cared about my education, and my life outside of school. Whenever I would come to school she’ll be the first to say “good morning kiddo” Just hearing that made me feel great like I was important to her. Ms. Alexander, you gave me the courage to stand up for myself and to never shut down when times get hard. When I’m feeling down you always have a way of putting me in a better mood. You knew what I was up against in the future and you kept pushing me to meet my goals.
Thank you for reaching out to William Peace University! I’ve received your contact submission regarding your application. I’ve tried calling your cell, but I may have called at a bad time.
Hello everyone! My name's Ally Ward and I'm a senior at South Stanly High School. Currently I'm taking CCP courses with SCC, so that I'll have two years under my belt when I start college. I plan to attend Gardner-Webb University this Fall and major in English with a teaching license. After I receive my major I plan to get my doctorate in English and then get a job as an English professor. I also love to read, shoot archery, ride horses, and spend time with my family.
So … snaps fingers … wow! This is a lot of people. Well, first off, congratulations everyone; you all made it this far. Hopefully you will be able to make through this speech. According to page ten of the Chisago Lakes High School Student Handbook, all of you have earned at least 28 credits in a variety of disciplines throughout the last four years. And for those English nerds out there, I do have a properly formatted works cited page if you would like to fact-check me. Don’t worry.
As a member of Virginia Commonwealth University’s (VCU) Leaders Engaging in Advance Discoveries (LEAD), were are expected to complete eighty hours of service over the course of two academic school years. Each semester VCU LEAD students are required to complete twenty hours of service, ten-community engagement hours and ten leadership hours. I believe that having a requirement of participation hours pushes students to get involved on VCU’s campus and the greater Richmond area, introduces time management, as well as influences them to reflect on their new found experiences.
Be ready because 7th grade is going to be a wild ride! Be ready for tests, projects, and assignments galore! And on those assignments, just read them. I know, I know, everyone just skips to the questions and looks for the answers in the passage but in 7th grade it’s just better to read it. The teachers know, its like they have a 6th sense! As far as the cafeteria, the food is probably going to be the same, so just plug your nose and maybe the food will go down without a fight! When you’re going to gym, RUN! Well, don’t actually run, you might get in trouble and I would be to blame, but, seriously walk as fast as you can. You need to be there before anyone else so that you can change in a shower stall and be done with it. Adding to that, BRING
The DASH I hope to leave behind me would be meaningful and significant if I could make an impact on this humble, close-knit community of Horn Lake. For my actions to be remembered, it would indicate that I truly made a difference in the town in which I grew up; and after having forged the greatest friendships and memories for which I could ask here, leaving a mark of me would be an honor. This is why, as I embark on the next step of my life and head off to college, I have chosen to remain in Mississippi for my choice of school: I will not be straying far from my family, my friends, and the community I have known and with which been blessed my entire life.
Good morning Paige! Hope you’re well; I greatly appreciate you reaching out to me. Sadly, this is not a surprise to me, or even most of the residents who feel exactly as you do. Many folks moved to Folsom with the optimistic dream of keeping Folsom the “ best little town” by Sacramento. Unfortunately, there are folks who are politically implanted in Folsom’s city government who feel bigger is better. Growing up in Folsom and graduating Folsom High, I got to experience all the amenities Folsom was known for like our parks, schools and small town charm and friendliness. Our elected official made big promises to get the development plans pushed through unbeknownst to most; they were pushing the “grow for growths” sake mentality we see today. This has been twenty years in the making starting with then Mayor Bob Holderness (who brought the light rail and is now SO50 landowners primary advisor) and continued by Miklos, Howell Starsky
I am the President of the Forest Hills Neighborhood Association. I know that Rube Mercier has invited you to speak this Saturday at our annual spring breakfast event. I wanted to share two things with you.
During my interview, the members of the Presidential search committee told me and my wife, Leigh, that Lyon College is a welcoming and accepting community. They assured us that Batesville was a wonderful place to live and raise our daughter, Maddie. We have found that to be true as faculty, staff, students, alumni and many members of the Batesville and Independence County community have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. Thank you.
