The American Revolution was revolutionary due to the effort that was put in to make the colonies independent from Great Britain. Great Britain had no right to demand taxes from the colonies, considering they barely paid any attention to them. For a while, the colonists were used to being on their own, having no one interfere with their decisions, but Great Britain barged in like they owned the place (even though they technically did). The colonists were being taxed unfairly, with no representation in Parliament. They demanded the same rights as other British subjects and they were going to receive it one way or another. After the American Revolution was won by the Americans, the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of RIghts
