Hatshepsut died in January, 1458 B.C at the age of 50 years. It is proven by scientists that Hatshepsut died not of natural cause, but of cancer. It is believed that when Hatshepsut put on lotion to treat a skin condition. “In 2011, researchers in Germany identified a carcinogenic substance in a vial that is identified with Hatshepsut, leading to speculation that she may have used a lotion or salve for cosmetic reasons or to treat a skin condition, and this led to the cancer.” (http://womenshistory.about.com/od/hatshepsut/a/How-Did-Hapshepsut-Die.htm).
