Through out high school I have worked hard to accomplish my goals of keeping my GPA high and doing my best in every class. I have always put my academics before anything else, which can be challenging at times but in the end, worth it. I have been involved in sports, church, mission trips, and school clubs during my entire high school years and it has benefited me greatly. It has taught me to juggle school while being active in my community and learning life skills. My academic performance has improved by being involved because it has taught me to organize my time, stay motivated to complete tasks, and plan well. Being able to multitask is a great skill to have during college because life becomes very busy. I feel well prepared to pursue my
Through high school I was involved in many different groups, clubs and athletics. I was a STRIDES leader for 2 years, an active member of the high school Bible study and a leader of the out of school athlete Bible study. I was a member of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), and I was also a member of the Z-Club. In high school I took challenging classes every quarter and I also took 3 of the 4 available college credit courses offered, finishing with an A in them all. I was on the honor roll 3 of the 4 years I was in high school and was a very dedicated student in all of my classes. During high school, I was given the amazing experience of representing my school and student body by being voted the freshman representative for the homecoming court. I was also
To be successful there must be drastic changes into your typical life style. Being successful in high school comes with little patience as well as motivation studies show that 49% of freshman students in college work harder that they thought they would. In the media success is thought of wealthy, power, and position this is how the Americans see it as. In order to be successful in school there is discipline, academy's that will show that being wealthy isn't always a way to be successful, there will be different perspectives on going to college, struggle and confidence.
My whole life I have been invested in doing what I love, focusing on my true passions, as well as finding new ones. I have been very involved in my high school, and have been lucky enough to be a part of multiple clubs and activities. Without these activities, my high school experience and life would be a lot different. I have been an active drama club member, a part of ‘Bottlecappers,’ a club advocating anti-drug, alcohol, and bullying to younger students in my district, and many other community service opportunities. I am lucky to have the opportunity to be in these activities, as they have shaped me to be the young adult I am today.
Throughout the duration of my high school career, I have participated in a multitude of various extracurricular activities including Varsity volleyball, club volleyball, National Honor Society, Key Club, and Mathletes. I believe that I have involved myself in this wide range of activities in order to enjoy the company of individuals who appreciate the importance of both academics and athletics as much as I do. Personally, academics have always been a top priority of mine as a result of my parents placing such a significant importance on grades as a child. Consequently, I have participated in organizations such as National Honor Society and Mathletes where I surround myself with others similar to myself that follow a certain academic standard.
The goals I proposed throughout high school helped me give back to society and developed me as a person. When I decided to dedicate myself to extra-curricular activities it wasn’t simple because I faced financial difficulty within my family and living in a single parent household but I managed to take on the challenge of balancing the difficult environment I was raised in and achieving my educational goals.
During both my High School years and now into college I have been able to keep up with my academics requirements and play soccer which requires a lot of dedication. Soccer has not only allowed me to be in good physical shape, but has also given the experience of working in a team environment, where you are constantly trying to help out others. You also learn that harder tasks involve more time and
Happy New Year! How are you? I just wanted to update you. I applied for jobs through Americorps and landing one in Pittsburgh with a Non-profit called Higher Achievement. We are an affiliate to a national program. Higher Achievement aims to help middle school scholars from the Hill District and Homewood areas, prepare for High School and for placement in advanced programs and or top tier schools. I was hired to help recruit mentors for the scholars and create programming for alumni of Higher Achievement. I told my supervisors about my interest in communications and they offered me the opportunity to be affiliate Brand Manager and of course I took it! I'm happy to be getting my foot in the door. I hope you're doing well and looking forward to
Throughout my high school years, I have challenged myself to maintain a high GPA yet, be involved in various student organizations. I have learned to manage my time and to become a responsible student by fulfilling the requirements and duties of each organization. I am involved in National Honor Society, Educational Talent Search, Book Club, Art Club, and Technology Student Association. I was selected to become a National Honor Society member my sophomore year and was accepted because of outstanding academic achievement, good service to the community, and leadership. This organization has helped me grow as a person and it has allowed me to contribute to the community. We take part in activities such as the annual toy drive, Thanksgiving food
As a student, I have always strived to do my best work. This determination also carries over into the rest of my life, including athletics, community service, and other extracurricular activities. I am currently a junior at POLYTECH High School and am a student in the Criminal Justice technical area. I am a member of the National Honor Society and our school-wide SkillsUSA chapter. Outside of school, I am a very active member of my church youth group and work often with the Knights of Columbus in community service efforts. I participate in shot put and discus with the school track team, and I also play volleyball. Through dedication and hard-work, I have managed to maintain high grades over the past three years of school and earn a rank of fourth in my class.
In high school, I graduated with a 3.89 GPA, I was a member of the National Honors Society, I was president of my class, and I founded the drama club at my school. I was even a member of the choir for four years. I joined the sign language club, and I volunteered annually for the Walk for Hunger. I did everything I could that counselors suggested to end up in a great college. “Be well-rounded,” they advised. Nevertheless, I enjoyed keeping busy; I enjoyed the responsibility and strong relationships that came with it.
There are so many elements that go into academic excellence in graduate school. However, a person can overcome any obstacle that hinders them from giving it their all by merely setting goals and following them. As for myself, the best possible way that I could manage my life stressors as well as my time management is to apply what I already know. If I could keep my mind focused through setting academic goals for success and sticking to them with skills that I have developed for myself in the past I could easily become not only a great writer, but also
I attend Greenbrier High School and have a very busy school life which includes many extracurricular activities and programs while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. This year, I am taking one class that is Advanced Placement (AP) and I am receiving 9 concurrent credit hours from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR). I plan on graduating with Highest Honors. I participate in Destination Imagination (DI), Band, Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), National Beta Club, Art Club, and Book Club.
We are contently preoccupied with high school during our four years there, however modern Investigation establishes that high school does not dictate our post-secondary life.
Some people are never able to learn effective study habits in high school. Thus, they may struggle through their first semester of college. A student should figure out how he or she studies the best; many people cannot frantically create a quality essay at four in the morning being sleep deprived and distractions all around like having music and televisions on. Although poor study habits may cause the student to struggle, which results in unhappiness, he can become connected by joining clubs, music groups, or sports that will help a person make more friends while balancing his life, thus making him a happier student. So, students should get involved! School does not have to be limited on schoolwork. One should find an activity that his school offers, and join it if his schedule allows it. Yet, some people have a harder time adjusting to school than other people and may feel that success is impossible. However, a student can achieve happiness in school through academics in many ways, such as by being on time for class, keeping an assignment notebook, and managing his time.
