Benjamin Franklin was a very important person in our history. He was a man of many great ideas. Not only was he a politician, but he also was an inventor. Being a politician and an inventor we’re only two of his many talents. He was also a strongly religious man. He was very influential to people back then and he still is today.Today, there are still many people that live to be like him because he left such an impact on modern day societies.

Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 17, 1706. He was one out of 17 children. His father, Josiah Franklin, was a soap maker, and his mother, Abiah Folger was Josiah’s second wife. Franklin’s father proposed that his son would undergo the job of being a clergyman, but unfortunately, he could not afford the expenses of the schooling. The letters would be filled with advice and critical words about the world around her and how women were treated. When he was done writing the letters, he would put them under the print shop door and they all became smash hits and everyone was raving to know who the real Silence Dogood was. After writing sixteen of these letters, Franklin confessed that he was the mysterious one and only Dogood. After that, James brother was thrown into jail for making fun of a clergy and Ben was left with the print shop and taking care of the issues. When Ben's brother James got out of jail, he couldn’t stand the fact of Ben taking over the store and would beat him from time to time. Ben got tired of it and ran away to Philadelphia. In Philadelphia, young Ben became an apprentice and wrote articles such as The Pennsylvania Gazette, and Poor Richards Almanac. Also, he invented fire preventions, and electricity.
