What is imperialism? It’s a policy of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force. Because of high taxes, outside attacks, and emperors being over throwned, imperialism was ultimately the main factor of the fall of rome.

One the problem that Ellis stated was that they had was high taxes to support the army(Gaynor Ellis and Elser, Page 174). Because they did that there was heavy burdens on business people and small farmers. This problem they faced was because of their economic status. Yes since taxes were high to support the arm who was always in action trying to conquer more and more land. Which caused business people and farmers to have burdens and cause them to lose their land. Since they couldn’t pay off the taxes soon enough they had no money or production. Because of this the economy fell and less money was being produced, there was loss of jobs, and less resources since farmers were going out of
Rome was one of the most powerful forces in the Mediterranean at their time in power. They had their first major victory in the punic wars against Carthage. This win provided them with more territory and power, and soon enough they used this to conquer the rest of the Mediterranean. But they didn’t stay in power forever, eventually they did fall. The question is why? The most contributing reason to Rome’s fall was its poor leadership. That’s right, it wasn’t just the power of other forces, Rome fell from within.
Rome was a very powerful empire when it started they had conquered many empires at the time this is one of the reasons why we still study them to day. They had made many enemies and were at the top. Until one day they had became weak and lazy this will soon lead to what we call today the “fall”of Rome. First of one of the main problems were the case of foreign invasions.
Most historians believe that the downfall of Rome was not caused by one dominant factor, but more several issues that were too pressing to be solved. After looking at documents one through six, however, I feel like the issues are centered around the problems associated with conquering new lands and the expansion of the empire.
Did you know that there were many major causes that caused the Fall of Rome but here are my three that i thought were the most important. Three major events that happened to cause the Fall of Rome was the poor leadership in document A the lazy army after the Pax Romana in document B and finally the last cause of the Fall of Rome is the flooding and the conscription . The first cause was the the emperors.
What is the reason why Rome fell? There are many different reasons with some still unknown. These are the three main reasons why I think Rome fell.
There were many different reasons why Rome fell. For example, when the military weakens and havoc breaks loose. Foreign invaders enter Rome. As Rome’s people start to fight. But what mostly affected Rome’s fall?
Ancient Rome grew to be one of the greatest empires in the world. Constantly gaining land and wealth, by 200 BCE Rome was a mighty giant, spilling over its borders, no longer an unremarkable settlement, but nothing less than a powerhouse (Primary Reasons for “Fall” of Rome). Sorrowfully, all great things must come to an end. In 5th century BCE ancient Rome shattered: The ferocious beast had fallen (Primary Reasons for “Fall” of Rome). As people recall their knowledge of Rome, a key point always comes back into play. How did Rome crash? Why did the grand empire fall? Three vital troubles led Rome to deteriorate: Rome had an attack of lethal, natural disasters and plagues narrowed its population; Rome’s upper class lost their edge; Rome had
Rome was once a powerful aristocracy empire that was feared and didn't want to mess with but down the line things went wrong time and time again like the negligence of the army, the constant natural disasters, and the treatment of their citizens, because of this happening Rome eventually fell and was no more.
“The holy Roman Empire is neither holy, nor Roman, nor an empire. ”That quote was said about the Roman Empire by Voltaire. Rome began around 750 BCE as an unremarkable settlement. The roman army conquered from modern-day Scotland to Spain, the whole Mediterranean sea, and established colonies in North africa, Egypt, the Middle East and Asia Minor. Soon the empire began to go from a republic to more like a dictatorship.
Rome is located in Italy, which includes a peninsula and islands in southern Europe. Rome became an empire around 14 C.E. In 476 C.E., the last emperor in the west loses his throne to a Germanic leader, which pretty much marked the fall of Rome. The reasons the Roman Empire fell is because it grew to big to protect, military soldiers were unloyal to Battle, and Invasions in Rome. Due to Christianity Rome hired foreign soldiers to fight for military.
Rome was the world’s greatest place for about 500 years. The fall of the Roman Empire led Rome to split into two parts. The eastern part of Rome thrived much longer than the western half. Historians believe that Rome had not fallen until about 476 A.D. because of how long Eastern Rome survived as a Byzantine Empire. Western Rome had fallen after the split and when it did, a number of reasons are in the hundreds. They had decided to split their government due to the fact that they had so much land to cover that they thought it was easier to split the empire in half. There were three main reasons as to why Rome had fallen. The division of the Roman Empire lead to a weak economy, military as well as political and social problems.
As well as the Roman Army and the Roman roads, the Pax Romana was another factor that led to the empire’s great success. Pax Romana, Latin for “Roman Peace”, was the peace established by the Romans in their empire, where the inhabitants benefitted from the law and order that was enforced by the Romans, and no more land was to be conquered. The Pax Romana was one of the most stable periods of the empire. This brought relative civilisation across the empire and kept the peasants happy, which was essential to keeping the empire under control.
The Roman Empire was a vast territory that expanded to three different continents. They were a place of honor, tradition, and respect. Rome has had several different periods, some of peace, and some of violence or unrest, but those were solved quickly and effectively. However, such a magnificent empire could not hold up under the strains that were slowly causing it to collapse. Rome began to face many problems that together allowed the fall of the Roman Empire. The three main problems that caused Rome to fall were invasions by barbarians, an unstable government, and pure laziness and negligence.
Imperialism was a time period in which more developed nations colonized less developed nations. The developed nations took advantage of the less developed nations resources, people, lands, and much more. Many countries lost their freedom and independence due to imperialism, however, they also received new technologies and innovations.
The Roman Empire was one of the most powerful and influential empires of ancient history. Although external strife such as the invasion and attacks from barbarian/Germanic groups contributed to the collapse of the Roman Empire, the internal problems were the main factors in the empire’s fall because poor hereditary leadership and the empire becoming too large to administer and manage weakened the empire significantly, which allowed Germanic groups the vanquish the Roman Empire.
