Da Vinci spend his first years with his mother in Anchiano, growing up in his father’s Vinci home. Leonardo Da Vinci was a painter, architect, inventor and student of all things scientific. Da Vinci was the prime exemplar of the “Universal Genius” or “Renaissance Man.” Leonardo started his education around the age of 15 at a studio of the Florentine painter Andrea del Verrocchio in Florence. As a matter fact, Da Vinci demonstrated his talent and genius at the Verrocchio’s workshop with his first big paint “Baptism of Christ,” Leonardo’s talent was so astounding that he became better than his masters at the Verrocchio workshop.
