Emotionally, physically, and psychologically due to the conflicts throughout the novel, Lord of the Flies. Jack has changed from being innocent to a savage through his needs for survival. When humans are in survival situations, their emotions are shifted. Usually when we are in life threatening situations, we disregard other people and do what we think is the best. “*Insert Quote Here*” (Golding ###) THis is because Jack disagrees with piggy and he feels like his authority and power is being threatened. Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding, has four very important dynamic characters. A dynamic character is a character that develops and grows during the course of the story. Ralph, Jack, Piggy, and Simon are four dynamic characters in Lord of the Flies that adapt to their new lifestyles in different ways. Jack is a very important dynamic character in Lord of the Flies because he goes through the most changes during the novel. While on the island, Jack has many life experiences that change him forever. Jack never thought he would live his life the way he is living his life in the island. Jack’s authoritative figure, savage-like/instinctual behavior, and violence are three qualities that make Jack a dynamic character.
Many of the boys want to have fun and see Jack's hunting as the fun
In the novel, Lord of the Flies, Jack is the character that experiences the most change. Jack begins the novel as a somewhat arrogant choirboy, who cries when he is not elected leader of the island. Jack is gradually transformed into a vicious killer who has no respect for human life. Through a series of stages, such as leading the choir, leading the hunting tribe, wearing the mask, killing Simon, separating from the group and intentionally killing Piggy, Jack degenerates from a normal, arrogant school boy into a savage beast.
In the novel Lord of the Flies, Jack Merridew is seen as a character that wants to be leader and have power over everyone. His presence seems to terrify all the boys on the island, and uses this to his advantage to control the boys and manipulate them. As evil as he already seems, Jack is known to be the character to experience the most change out of anyone involving the change from civilization to savagery. He begins as an arrogant choirboy, who is actually seen cry when Ralph is elected leader of the island instead of him. Jack's original feelings were to keep an organized group on the island, and also mentions that he is not a savage, and that he will always do the right things. When Ralph brings everyone in the group together, Jack says, "I agree with Ralph. We've got to have rules and obey them. After all, we're not savages. We're English, and the English are the best at everything. So we've got to do the right
In contrast, Jack represents the selfishness of the individual and the desire to have fun without regard for safety or the consequences to the group of not being rescued. All the boys have been raised in a society that has taught them right from wrong. Ralph and Piggy are attempting to maintain a sense of order and provide some of the elements of security for the group. Jack and the other boys that follow him are only participating actively in the hunt, and the pursuit of their own interests. In either circumstance, the boys involved are making a conscious choice. They are aware of their actions and although they may not fully understand the repercussions, they do understand that they are not following the direction given by their chosen
Jack gets mad at Ralph. Because he blamed by Ralph and he is always a lot of set up. This makes her get bored and go away from Ralph. Jack felt that he more deserves to be a leader. Then, this separate do not make him doubt at all. It is because Jack has an ability of hunting to survive on the island. In addition, there are other kids who follow him and accompanied him to keep each other. it make him sure for what he has decided. It show by Jack's speech when he says that Ralph was not the one leader who deserved,
Jack is showing how savagery is becoming a monster in him. This monster is a threat to social order because it foreshadows what will happen in the future. It shows that Jack will turn full savage and stop following Ralph’s rules. He will create his own tribe and the people in that tribe will all turn into savages too.
Jack using his hunting skills finds a pig and attempts to catch it but fails. On his way back to the beach he finds Simon and Ralph building shelters by themselves. Ralph begins to get frustrated because the hut he working on keeps falling apart. He states that everyone would be excited about an idea and work on it for a few days but then they lose interest and do their own thing. Jack reminds Ralph that he is chief and he should tell the other boys off. Ralph then pointed out that Jack always goes out to hunt but never bring any meat back. Jack argument is that everyone wants meat and that he will soon catch a pig. Ralph bring up that the little ones are having nightmares at night as a reason to have shelters because it’ll resemble a home
Jack was capable of being able and he soon became the bad person in the novel because he persuaded the boys to join his group which was bad because Jack did not have good intentions and had no hope of getting rescued. In the novel, Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding, he shows how all men have the capacity for evil due to their instinctive human nature. Russia began to fund South Korea with weapons which caused them to attack North Korea which were the good people of this war. Jack and Ralph were two different people because Jack led the bad group of boys while Ralph led the boys who kept hope in getting rescued while Jack's choir boys had no hope and getting saved and was now relying on on survival to stay alive. When two ideologies
In the book "Lord of the Flies" the main character, Ralph, an intelligent, courageous, rational, attractive, and virtuous young 12 year, old along with many other younger boys, was stranded on an island. The boys were trying to escape a nuclear war that had hit England. Though the time period is not said specifically, by the mention of the bombs it is possible that it is war time but it is not clear if it is past or present. Among the boys stranded was Jack. After naming Ralph chief, because he was the oldest, Jack gets angry because he was head of the choir. Over time Jack becomes blood hungry for boars and goes off on his own to form a tribe of what Ralph calls savages. This causes Jack and civilized Ralph to become enemies.
This quarrel demonstrates the discrepancy between the two powerhouses. Jack’s persistence in hunting a pig reveals his savage, impulsive self. Meanwhile, Ralph’s unyielding demand for a shelter shows that he is a stable person. He is a more fitting leader for ordinary people, but when the survival game begins, Jack’s overthrow is anticipated.
Lord of the flies is about a group of young school boys who ends up on a island
Piggy is angry at Jack, probably angrier than Ralph, because they had the chance to go home and Jack ruined it for everyone with his bloodlust. What this reveals about Piggy’s character is that Piggy can lose his timidness when he is feeling extreme agony and anger. Piggy’s reaction shows how much he values civilization and by Jack’s selfish actions, Piggy sees it as Jack condemning the group to stay on the island. That also highlights the huge amount of selfishness that Jack had in letting the fire

Summer 2013, san francisco was quiet as the sun was about to go down then it happened, the crash. I was sitting on the balcony of my hotel looking over the bay when i noticed a plane was flying too the landing strip. As it got closer to the ground i noticed something, The plane was flying lower than it should have been. I called my parents too the balcony then the plane crash landed. No one had expected it just like in lord of the flies when no one expected for jack too turn into a savage. Not only does jack's personality affect ralph or piggy but it affects the island as well.
