How Is Lady Macbeth A Tragic Hero

Lady Macbeth is the tragic heroine. My reasons for this are because she initiated Macbeth into annihilating Duncan to take over his throne. She also felt guilty about the killing of Duncan. Moreover, she influenced Macbeth to become the ruler after macbeth decided not to kill Duncan.
First, I would like to go into detail about how Lady Macbeth is the tragic heroine. She is the tragic heroine because she influenced Macbeth to kill Duncan. She tells Macbeth that “a foolish thought to say a sorry thought” (II. ii. line numbers). Lady Macbeth was throwing Macbeth under the bus, implying that he was foolish because he felt sorry about murdering Duncan. In Act V, Lady Macbeth says, “here’s a smell of blood still on your hands, put on your night gown” which provides the reader with some insight about Lady Macbeth’s conscience and how it has changed over the course of the tragedy (V. i. line numbers). Lady Macbeth argues that “when you durst do it, then you’re a man” (I. v. line numbers). In Macbeth’s eyes, she has challenged his manhood or masculinity. No man wants to feel like there are certain criteria to check off in order to maintain a place in manhood. Moreover, no one wants his wife to view him as a coward. Therefore, Lady Macbeth makes Macbeth feel like it is only right to kill Duncan. Lady Macbeth says, “I laid the daggers ready; he could not miss ‘em.
