In the years 1914-1945 the world was changing and advancing in many ways. Someone once said, “Peace is the beauty of life. It is sunshine. It is the smile of a child, the love of a mother, the joy of a father, the togetherness of a family. It is the advancement of man, the victory of a just cause, the triumph of truth.” This quote reveals that the world was changing with new advancements and that Americans wanted the American dream. During the years 1914-1945, Americans experienced change and economic hardships. For example, Americans experienced The Great War which caused people to go fight and leave their families, but it also created jobs for many Americans. In addition, Americans also faced the New Deal which initiated new economic reforms, and strengthens the economy (“Disillusion, Defense, and Discontent…”689- 701). Disney was born December 5, 1901 and died December 15, 1966 ("Walt Disney" 1, 3). In fact, Disney was known for creating cartoon and being the founder of the theme parks EPCOT, Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Disney was also known for the creating Mickey Mouse and was also the voice behind it as well. He first started expanding his career when he began drawing, painting, and selling pictures to neighbors and family friends in Marceline Missouri, his childhood neighborhood ("Walt Disney" 1). Later, he would take courses at night with the money he earned from his art to attended the Chicago Arts Institute to enhance his magnificent talent. Throughout his life time, Disney created the first film with sound which was Steam Boat Willie, and was also the first person to create a film with color.
