Humorous Wedding Speech By ESOL Students

I would like to also thank you all for being here today. It is a great honor to be amongst such talented and accomplished educators, such as the other nominees tonight. It is truly a humbling experience to be accepting this nomination. Nothing in my experience has prepared me for an honor like this - especially to be recognized for doing something that I love and enjoy to do.

First off, I want to say thank you to my parents for supporting me. Mom, Dad, thank you for being there with me during difficult times. You support and understand me, this gives me the strength to continue fight through the challenges in life. Without you being here today and by my side, I would have given up. Next, I want to thank the administration. You have all contributed to making this school run smoothly but also have allowed us to have a good time. I, as many others, have enjoyed the monthly walks and fundraising activities, the cultural fashion show and the fun and exciting cultural festival with the live steel bad and African drummers. These are some experiences that some students have never been exposed to. Therefore, thank you for bringing new and exciting initiatives to PS/MS124. Mrs. Babb, you are a very loving and an easy person to talk to. You have made so many positive changes to PS124, one of which is allowing us middle schoolers to have student council. I would also like to thank my teachers, for sharing their knowledge. You have taken the time to explain assignments, make class interesting, challenge us beyond our knowledge, and inspire not just me, but all of us. I want to Mr. Heaton for granting me the position of secretary for National Junior Honor Society last year. This was a great opportunity and that allowed me to play a key role in the National Junior Honor

First off I would like to congratulate everyone for making it this far. I would like to thank my classmates, my friends, and my family. I especially want to thank our teachers, for always supporting and encouraging us. If it weren’t for the people who support us daily, we would not be where we are today. I would like everyone to turn to their families, and teachers to thank them for all that they have done for us.

They have been the best teachers that we could ever ask for. They have guided us on this journey and have given us everything we need, to become strong and inspiring future 9th graders. They have seen us grow throughout year and see the change we can make, so let’s show appreciation today to our teachers who have helped us throughout the year.

Thank you for a great year! I wanted to let you know how much I sincerely appreciate everything you have done for me this year. You have constantly encouraged me to do my best and to believe in myself. Before this year, History was a class which I dreaded because I thought I was not good at it. After this year, I can confidently say that I have learned to really enjoy it. Your class has changed my outlook on History.

As my teaching internship ends, I wanted to extend a sincere thank you to you and Chesney Elementary School. It was exciting to be able to apply Chesney kindergarten theories to developing lesson plans. I am grateful for the expertise you added in aiding my development as a teacher. The fall internship has proven to be an invaluable experience for me.

I would also like to give thanks to the parents to stayed with their child and helped as much as they can for their kids. Without their help, I never would have tried as much as I did in school. I know it’s not easy for both teachers and parents to deal the attitude of teenagers, so thank you for bearing with us during those times; moreover, thank you for trying your best to understand and comfort us. I want all the teachers to know how great they are. Even if we don't always show our appreciation on the outside, we know that we couldn’t have reached where we are now if it wasn’t for all of them. They not only taught us, they guided us. They showed us our own potential, so for that, let’s give the teachers, all of them, a good round of applause. (Wait)

We are eternally grateful for your dedication to your craft and to your students and are excited to see what amazing accomplishments come as a result of this distinction. Heritage High School is lucky to have accomplished educators such as yourself guiding its students. Because of teachers like you, our public education system continues to be this community’s greatest asset.
