I Know My Cultural Identity

Cultural identity is how we see ourselves based on what happens to us. So, what shapes our cultural identity. Things such as our family, the media and the environment we grow up in can all shape our sense of identity.

Before I explain my cultural background you must know what cultural identity is. What is cultural identity, cultural identity is Cultural identity is the identity or feeling of belonging to a group. It is part of a person's self-conception and self-perception and is related to nationality, ethnicity, religion, social class, generation, locality or any kind of social group that has its own distinct culture.

Cultural identity can be many different things. The clothes you wear, the food you eat, the places you go, or even how you talk. Many people have not one, but two cultural identities that define them. In my case i have two which is American and Indian. Culture can be defined in many different ways. Some may say it's the food you eat,the clothes you wear, or even the places you go. If you look at the big meaning of culture and putting everything together it’s like saying that culture is what makes you who you are. From the foods you eat to the clothes you dress in.It's part of a person's self concept. it can also predict your point of view. My cultural identity is a unique

Cultural identity is defined as a sense of feeling or belonging to one group, or even multiple groups. Different people define themselves differently from the person sitting next to them. I, on the other hand, think that my cultural identity is abstract. I think that this is because I enjoy a variety of different activities including swimming competitively, singing in a choir, sometimes going to school, and reading whenever I get the chance. Sometimes it is hard to find time to read because of my busy schedule, but I make it happen. A lot of people have one specific way to identify themselves and have other smaller ways to define themselves within their larger definition.

Cultural identity,is how you see and express yourself. I think people find it strange when faced with a culture different from their own.A person's culture can affect the way they view the world because it affects their behavior and beliefs.

Who am I? What defines my cultural identity? Cultural Identity is confusing. The official definition of cultural identity is the identity and emotions associated with the group you associate with. My definition is what makes up your experiences and decisions. My cultural identity is defined by growing a garden with my mom, my religion, my parents divorce, my gender, my age, the festival I attend yearly, and my heritage. Cultural identity makes me who I am today, it has shaped me into the woman I am now. My cultural identity has guided me to make the decisions I have along with the values I possess.

My Cultural Identity is my life, my life is more about what I do in my life. My cultural identity is about what I do in life like I love sports, and that in my cultural because everyone in my family played a sport in life. Baseball is my favorite sport because that’s something my pops taught me how to play. My family is raised in the country so we love to go trail ride and we love to ride fourwheelers and all. I’m from and was raised lafayette, louisiana. I was raised in the country but I have some city in me, but most is country.

I was walking with my suitcase, on my way to the airport. I felt sad, yet excited at the same time. I had to leave my county to a place that I have never seen. From the society I grew up in, they viewed the United States as a very wealthy country. Therefore, I felt very fortunate to move to a place that was stable in more ways than Bangkok, Thailand. I discovered a lot about myself and culture through my move from Thailand to the United States. It was a major change in my life.

In my opinion i believe that cultural identity is how your cultural backgrounds reflect on the things that you do. Such as for me i was brought up hunting and fishing,these things were taught from generation to generation from the hawaiian culture.

Cultural identity is feeling or belonging to a group. For example Language, Religion, Jobs, or even daily life are some elements of culture. Your language is important so you can communicate with people like you. Religion is really important because more than likely you won’t get along with another tribe that doesn’t believe what you believe or believes the opposite. Clothing is also a cultural identity for example

Cultural identity is the identity or feeling of belonging to a group. The thing is I am still confused on finding my own. I personally think that my family and my hobbies makes up my cultural identity. I really enjoy listening to music and skateboarding. Everyone is not same as others and unique in their own ways, we all something that makes up who we are. For example, I have many interesting things about me that makes me who I am today. Skateboarding is one thing what makes me the person I am, it makes me keep pushing forward towards success and to just have fun. I will slowly figure out my cultural identity by slowly understanding what makes up my culture. My family likes to eat stir fried, but I really enjoy eating any types of food such as Mexican, Italian, American, and other types. I trying out new food, it helps me find out what tastes I do and do not like. My family’s religion is Buddhism and our belief is Buddha. I as myself don’t really pay attention to that. My identity as being different is that I don’t really believe in anything.

Cultural identity is something that is being seen all over the world. It is essentially a person's identity belonging to a certain group. Examples of these groups could be a religion, nationality, ethnicity, or social class. Cultural identity has the power to shape someone's way of life in the way that it can cause someone to adopt another person's cultural identity. It can also help motivate a person's decisions in life. especially if that person's decision matches up with  the person's cultural identity. Lastly, cultural identity works as a catalyst to what a person will do in his or her life, whether it is a person's profession, sexual orientation, and even lifestyle, it will have a significant impact on a person's future in society.

I am Zaka Hashmat Siddiqi and I am Asian belong from Middle Asia. I am Muslim and my religion is Islam. I am from Pakistan, Sind, Karachi by the specific area from Shah Faisal Colony no. 2. The main values, norms, and traditions that I belongs to Asian typical culture more into strict rules and regulation such as respect our religion and follow all the important instructions that I learned from my family, friends and teachers. Many Asian people follow their norms by which they belongs but many of them are similar to many culture such as caring, helping people, respect to children's and elder. Religion is also the most important thing to me as I got teaching from my parent and my elders.

Cultural identity is defined as the sense or feeling of belonging to a group. I connect my cultural identity to my immediate family. My immediate family consists of my parents, two younger sisters, and myself. Each one of us has significant values that have been instilled in one another. I believe that they play a large role in making me who I am today. Coming from a large, Sicilian family, the importance of love, loyalty, and support has always been prominent.
