[The learning goal states that the focus learner will be able to formulate learning that all circles are similar through application of transformation techniques (translation and dilation), by the end of the learning segment. The IEP goal states requires the focus learner to describe relationships between similar geometric shapes with 70% accuracy on informal assessments, utilizing one to two supports, by the ending of May 2016. In each lesson the objectives systematically build upon each other as they support the focus learner in accomplishing the learning goal that is based on the focus learner’s IEP goal. The lesson goal and the IEP goal both relate to learning of geometric shapes, with the learning goal being more specific, the circle. After selecting the circle a Common …show more content…
In the beginning of each lesson several planned supports are introduced to ensure that the focus learner understand the lesson objective and subsequent lesson goal. The two to three planned supports in lesson one compliments the focus learner preference in learning and align with the IEP goal. The planned supports are mainly visual and kinesthetic in nature and they include various Manipulatives, wall charts, YouTube videos, guided notes, and lesson worksheets assessments that are intended to assist the student in achieving the lesson objectives. They are also intended to help the student remain engaged during explicit, guided, and cooperative instructions. The Smart board will be used by the teacher to support differentiation of instruction and by the student to express in writing learning of the lesson objectives. Worksheets will be used for independent and extended practice on concepts taught and the results used to help guide instruction in satisfying the learning goal and the IEP goal. As the focus learner becomes confident the amount of supports are reduced to reflect the IEP
I would like to pursue counseling as my career and become a successful leader in the field. I have always had a passion to assist people in emotional distress. As a qualified professional in the counseling field, I would be able to identify their problems as well as offer them the most appropriate solutions that may help them deal with their situations. However, working as a professional counselor requires that I possess the relevant skills and knowledge that would enable me to offer quality services in which I think that I can obtain the skills at Capella University. As a

Diagnostic/Prescriptive/Evaluative (DPE) process is a type of instruction according to Thomas (1996) that helps students with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) accomplish the best chance of success and independence, when accompanied with life goal planning, and goal instructional analysis (GIA), which is a fundamental part of the DPE teaching. The DPE process takes lesson planning, breaks down instruction into manageable segments specialized for the individual student, which provide the necessary educational flexibility to ensure successful outcomes. The first step of this process is to diagnose the student’s skill level along with his/her strengths and weaknesses, and then devise or prescribe a lesson path, where student progress can be
[The learning goal that I choose aligns with the IEP because it is supporting and providing a strategy to aid my focus learner in solving word problems. In order for the focus learner to solve word problems, she needs to know what the question is asking and find a concrete way to represent that. Her IEP goal states that she will “…underline and circle key numbers, then write an equation and solve each problem…” The learning goal aligns with this IEP goal because it has her master a strategy that has her do exactly what the IEP goal is asking. The STAR strategy has the student circle or underline what they know and what they need to figure out, then translate the word problem equation into a picture. By having the student draw a picture, this
Some people say that with dedication, persistence, and time people can accomplish any goal. Others say that people are limited in what they can accomplish and need to be realistic when setting goals.

1. Do you feel that the Bearington plant has the right equipment and technology to do the job? Why?
Creating an Ed Plan is one of the most important things you will do during your semesters at Columbia. I would even say that it is more important than taking the classes. The classes get you your degree, but your Ed Plan tells you what you need to take, when you need to take it and it helps you achieve your academic goals. Because your Ed Plan is so significant, you need to prepare for it. To do so, get a course catalog. The catalog helps you pick which classes you want to take to help you reach your goal, whether it be getting a degree or transferring. The catalog shows when classes are available and how many units the classes are worth and if the classes are transferable. The catalog also shows degree patterns. Planning for the Ed Plan appointment is important, but do not stress too much; ed plans are changeable. All you need to do is think about a major that interests you or a job you might want to have, and make an appointment with a counselor. I
School Personnel, Parent/ Parents, and an observation team that was merged together with the same ultimate goal should stay a breasted of the student progress each week ( get reports from classroom teachers, or other useful information etc. ).
Out of the three goals, (Personal, educational, and professional) I chose two of the goals that I am focusing on and that is my personal and educational goals. For my personal goals, I want to create a big picture of what I plan to do in life. Then I want to break them down in order to reach my goals, then once I have them together, then I would start working on them to achieve them. For example(Specific and Measurable goals), I plan on finding a job that has great benefits and the best rate of pay, and one that does not require working on weekends(Monday-Friday only), and not working overtime.
Drawing characters, backgrounds, rims, cars, or trucks spends most of my pastime. In addition to drawing, I would also like to partake classes in Animation. Art directors earned $56,880 in 2000, and the highest 10% made more than $109,440 dollars. Artist work about 40 hours a week, but during busy periods, they work overtime to meet deadlines.
A person needs to achieve certain goals in one's life before you can call them successful. Success is to achieve goals, you have set. I have set certain goals I would like to achieve in my lifetime. Some of these goals are personal while others are professional. My professional goals in life are to find a good job that makes me happy, get a good education, find a job that makes enough money for me to support my family, and help people. Goals it is very important for me to receive a good education. Most job fields require a descent education. If I don't have an education I would not be able to function properly at the work place and I would not understand what to do. To maintain a good job that will make good money will require me to go
Setting goals is the most important thing you can do in your life. Without goal's you are going to have no direction, no ambition to be successful, no drive to stay in school, and trouble finding a career that will provide for you. Without these three things, achieving your goals is going to be one of the toughest tasks in the years to come.
My personal goal as a student at the University of Phoenix is to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management within the next two years. This goal is very important to me because of the impact it will have on my family, work and personal life. In my family it will set a positive example for my daughters, grandchildren, and youngest sister. My family has been a source of support throughout my years in college as I have pursued this degree while maintaining a full time job. Obtaining the degree will be an accomplishment not only for me but also for my family who has given me the encouragement to reach my goal. I would like for my grandchildren to remember their grandmother as a strong and educated woman.
