I am writing because I am quite concerned about your progress this week. During our last meeting, you seemed to be disturbed by some reason that you didn't share with me. I respect your privacy, but don't forget that I am here to help you. Your ENGL 101 instructor told me that you missed his class on Wednesday, you told me about that and said that it was because you met you Academic Advisor, but that was not the case, I do not the reason why you missed ENGL 101. Please, do not miss classes anymore, the end of this term is approaching, missing classes will jeopardize your final scores. Another of my concerns is you using your devices during classes. Today, you were using your cellphone during ENGL 101 class, your instructor and I came to talk to you, you promised that you are stopping doing that, I believe you; however, I'd suggest one strategy that could help you to be focused is to have a tutor next to you when working on your papers. Please, use you tutors, let me know who could be a good tutor for you and I set up days and times for you to work with this person. …show more content…

Question 1: Describe two effects of database tools and technologies on business performance and decision making.
The first assignment consisted of creating a Bitmoji that represented how I thought I looked, and my personal identity behind the clothing I choose. When it came to what type of clothes we decided to choose, it boiled down to the notion that different sub cultures we associate ourselves in amongst society influence how we present ourselves through clothing. This led to myself choosing an outfit that consisted of a more relaxed style that reflected my own personal identification to the subcultural of athletics and sports. This could also be seen through my short haircut that follows a stereotypical expectation placed on guys in society. My haircut emphasized the importance of gender and its effects on all people across society.
For this assignment, I interviewed my friend, saeda, a married mother of two children and a 1st generation immigrant. She is a licensed practical nurse who makes about $3000 a month. She currently does not have any savings but thinks about ways to save for the future. My friend recognizes that she has a spending problem; she has attempted to free her from this never-ending cycle of spending numerous times but failed in the processes. She experiences an internal happiness when she buys things even if she does not need them. Every week she receives a direct deposit through her work, which makes it easier for her to spend her money as soon as the funds become available. She spends a good fortune of her income on buying toys for her kids and eating
In monitoring my behavior, I will buy a calendar and a journal and write an X on everyday of the calendar in which I accomplished my scheduled time of sleep. In the journal, I will record what I did wrong on the days I didn’t accomplish the task of sleeping at the scheduled time. I will buy the calendar this weekend and I already have a journal. I will begin this plan at the same time I begin having a timer for my scheduled bed time which is on July 17th. A reward for this intention will be a record of all the calendars I’ve used in reaching this goal, it’ll show how far I’ve come.
The show that I used for this assignment was Friends. I felt that Joey played the role of the leader. When Ross told everyone he was moving, Joey was the first person to speak up about how he felt. He told the others they needed to do something to keep Ross from moving. He also went to Ross personally, and tried to convince him from following through with the move. I felt that Phoebe was the opinion giver. She kept informing the group that it was Ross' life and they should respect his decision. Whenever Joey would try to tell Ross how he felt, Phoebe would intervene to distract him. She also agreed when Ross got upset with the group. She told everyone it wasn't right to interfere with his life. With Joey taking the leader role, he helped the
However, for this schoolyear, I was put in a group with three other students, Emma, Mia, and Lucy, who do not share my same beliefs and experiences. Emma is involved in a variety of activities including numerous AP classes. As a result, she has trouble with her time commitment and I knew from the start, working with her might be a challenge; however, I hoped for the best since she usually tries to commit to her schoolwork. Mia is involved in with the spirit team, and she dedicates a lot of her time to both the team and to her job. Despite her busy schedule, she is in the top five percent of the class and hopes that this class with be an easy GPA boost. Lucy is on the volleyball team, and even though it is time consuming she prioritizes school before her other activities. Both Lucy and I are in the class because of our interest in science and the possibility for a future career. School has always been my priority and my
I am having a hard time keeping focus on my studies, I am not as aggressive with
I am a lifelong musician and entrepreneur. I am 52 years young and have been a vocalist since I can remember, a keyboardist for over 25 years, and entrepreneur for just as long. I have also always been someone’s secretary, administrative assistant, bookkeeper, office manager, booking agent, and spouse and mother for about 24 years of that journey. Growing up in southern California, I have performed most styles of music and sung/played in a variety of bands and ensembles since 1980. I have covered female vocalists from the 30s and 40s through current artists. I moved from southern California to rural western Colorado in 1993 and things are unique here. In 2009, I wrote and co-produced my CD, Mosaic, with musicians in Nashville with the help of Lorna
This project in general was kind of fun. It’s better than some of the past assignments we've had. So it might be interesting if we had future assignments similar to this, because it involves a group & I like group work, because it gets done faster. My group was fair and on task. All of us did what we had to do, because we all care about grade. Since we all care about grade a lot, we completely focused on the assignment. No one was ever off task, and that was good, because we needed to get this assignment done. Another good things is, we never argued. I’m glad this happened, because if it did we would have never finished and that would have been bad. Throughout the whole assignment my group and I had perfect communication skills with one another
In the article the violinist was compared to rape, because in the violinist scenario the person was kidnapped and plugged in with the violinist without there person volunteering. It's the same with rape you do not volunteer you have no say in the matter. Thomson said people who oppose abortion should make an exception for rape and he certainly agrees with it. So the violinist scenario and the rape scenario are the same in a way because you didn't volunteer and also you have the option of saving the "person" or killing them. Thomson says, "They can say that persons have a right to life only if they didn't come into existence because of rape". For me this conclusion is right for one the person

Your environment is distracting and noisy.
