Since the eighteenth century, we notice a growth of movement toward development and acknowledgement of something that is defined today as human rights. As important more relevant this topic has become, we still don’t have a universal way to apply these rights within every existing society around the globe. Why is it important to develop a standard understanding of what human rights are? How can we promote and regulate them?
Human right is an inalienable right of every person regardless of nationality, gender, race, religion, language, or any other aspect. All humans are entitled to all human rights without any discrimination. Despite of the wonderful definition that Universal Declaration of Human Rights has, modern standards of human rights that are established in international and domestic law are the product of a long battle between an individual with the authorities. The content of human rights and freedoms that are guaranteed by states is changing over time. The entire history of human rights development can be seen as a gradual process of acknowledgement of dignity and value of human’s life by every nation of the world.
An understanding of human rights differs in response to many different factors of country’s development. Many societies have established their own traditional, philosophical and political views, which are a big contributor to how ethical and moral standards of human rights are currently recognized.
