For example, Disneyland, Universal Orlando, Magic Kingdoms, and Florida Keys. Each of these attractions attract millions of tourists each year due to all of the fun things you can do. I think these attractions impact their culture because they are the things that shape Florida into the state that is it today. People travel from all over the world to see these places. In Indiana there aren’t as many fun attractions, they are mostly historic. This is a cool difference because it gives us a background on U.S. history but could also be fun for people who are interested in history. There are many places to visit from museums to memorials, all very cool things. If you ever get tired of seeing Palm Trees, Indiana would be a great place to visit. Although it is missing out on the Palm Trees, you could never miss out on seeing a field. Indiana is known for growing crops in huge fields all over state. Farming plays a huge role in our lives. A lot of food Florida receives is exported from Indiana. Florida is too dry and hot all year long to grow crops. Yes they do grow some, but they mostly grow on trees, for example oranges. Oranges play a huge role in Florida, it is one of their many traditions. In Florida, people hand-squeeze oranges like we do with Lemons, to make Orange Juice. Most of the world’s Orange Juice comes from Florida and is another thing that makes Florida so pure and

To tackle the housing affordability, first of all, it is crucial to lift the supply of housing as it will release the pressure on the housing price. Nevertheless, the supply of housing is inelastic as it requires an adequate fund, time, approval from the Government. Besides, the housing system is heavily dependent on the private sector. Thus, the Government should provide initiatives for housing providers to shift the supply of houses in the market. Australia would follow the policies from other countries to tackle the housing affordability. However, it has to fit in the Australian context. These policies might work well in other places but it does not mean that it will be applicable in Australia. The Singapore Government has a public

Compared to Florida state legislature, Nebraska has the smallest legislature with only 49 senators who are eligible to consecutive four-year terms. Nebraska is the only non-partisan state legislature in America. This is because, during elections, there are no party affiliations next to the names of candidates on the ballot. Also, a member of the Senate from any party can be elected as the speaker of the house or as the chair of any house committee. However, it can be argued that all legislators are affiliated with the state affiliate of either the democrats or republicans as these parties often explicitly endorse certain candidates for political seats. For instance, in most cases in elections for Congress, the incumbent will run on either
Indiana’s major city is Indianapolis, which also happens to be its capitol. Indianapolis is the capitol because it is very close to the center of the state and congress wanted to take advantage of people migrating to the west. It was originally apart of the Marion County. Indianapolis grew slowly starting with a
As driving into Hickory, Indiana, a tiny town, I see that every house has a basketball hoop on the side of their barn. The little town consists of one main street. It has the local supermarket, barbershop, hardware store and some other small stores. While driving on the main street, I noticed that everyone notices a stranger coming into town. That is how small Hickory is. Driving into the high school parking lot I see that the girls dominate the young men by far. Looking around I also see that everyone is talking about the basketball game that night.
American citizens see a lot more pride in their senator as they represent the entire state not just a small region within it. For example Representative Joe Baca represents a single congressional region in California whereas Jerry Brown represents the entire state. The senator has a greater reputation for representing the views of the state over what the party tells them or their own personal views which make the individuals within the state feel
Texans lived in a one party state for nearly a century. In Texas the only party that was in control was the Democratic Party from the post-Civil war era to the late 1970’s. In Texas politics for approximately over 100 years the Republican Party was basically non-existent. In a one party state Republicans were the second party. Republicans controlled a few seats in the legislature and they failed to win any statewide races. Mid-western abolitionists that opposed the Kansas-Nebraska Bill created today’s Republican Party. The bill they opposed would allow slavery in the new acquired territories of Kansas and Nebraska. In 1845 there was a heated slavery controversy and at that exact time Texas became a state. In the early years, one group in

In the Republican party, John McCain is running for president. McCain isn’t change, He’s more of the same. He voted 90% of the time with George W. Bush. At
Although he does not serve as a lawyer, McCain has had a positive impact on America, serving as a military leader and representative of the U.S. government. He is recognized as a hero for his honorable morality in his military performance. He, like Hamilton also has had a substantial contribution in America’s government and after serving in the military, delegated his work in politics. He is recognized as a bold conservative, and, like Hamilton, is not afraid to express his opinion towards his political party. McCain has succeeded numerous times and in the most recent election on November 8, 2016, he was re-elected for his sixth term in the U.S. Senate. Just as Hamilton put effort into influencing his political party- the federalist party- in his support for Thomas Jefferson and his efforts to making him the next President, McCain played a role in supporting his party - the Republican Party- by showing his support for Mitt Romney in the 2012 election, and later went on to supporting Trump, but eventually receded from his support after the Washington post was released. Both men’s endorsement towards their specific leader, however, were surprisingly not based off the leaders themselves, but the party they represented. As mentioned before, Hamilton greatly disliked Jefferson, but still supported him, in efforts to do what he believed was the best for the country’s political future. McCain stated, “I am a Republican. I'm loyal to the party of Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. And I believe that my party, in some ways, has strayed from those principles, particularly on the issue of fiscal discipline.” (Mccain, 2016) Both men have done remarkable jobs in representing America for what it stands
