The Indiana state fair incident occurred in August of 2013. This tragedy could have been prevented if all parties involved would have effectively communicated with one another. Throughout the entire day the National weather service was updating and predicting warning signs. “At approximately 8:15 the state fair officials are informed a severe storm is approaching the concert area. If indeed the storm does strike it would be 30 minutes after the concert is scheduled to begin” (). At this point Cynthia Hoye director of the state fair should have improvised; It was her job to ensure everyone was safe.
