The Industrial Revolution began in England in the late 1700’s. The Industrial Revolution was a time of new inventions, products, and methods of work. The results of the Industrial Revolution led to many short and long-term positive and negative effects. These results have been assessed from many viewpoints such as the factory workers, the factory owners, the government, and other people who observed the conditions in industrial cities.

New farming methods meant better diets, which lead to lower death rates. Industrialization involved the use of child labor, negatively affected the environment, and had harsh working conditions in factories. However, I will counter that it actually had a greater positive effect for society. As a result of Industrialization, the United States rose to become the world’s largest economic power and people were able to enjoy new amenities that weren’t previously available.

The new mass production and transportation means would make trading these goods much easier, which enabled the widespread use and consumption of materials such as textiles to the masses. And although citizens were being forced into urban settings the majority of the urbanization that occurred was voluntary. Employment skyrocketed because of the factories, and rural citizens no longer risked starving if their crops had a bad year.

The Industrial Revolution changed daily life because rural life slowly started to disappear, there were new ways of farming that was a lot faster, and now there are machines in factories that are taking the place of working people. And so now factories were making products at a much faster pase so now businesses are making more money.

During the Industrial Revolution, the working class were working for about 16 hours a day including children. This lead children and adults in bad terms. In other words, they were living in urban areas and many diseases were spreading due to the fact that they wouldn’t take good care of themselves.The Industrial Revolution began in Great Britain in the 18th Century because Agricultural Revolution had more resources, Britain had resources, and Britain had wealth to invest.The Industrial Revolution was rapid changes in how products were made and sold by using machines in the late 1700s through the early 1900s. Homes were overcrowded, and people were living in polluted and unsanitary conditions, which made them more at risk of diseases. The Industrial Revolution has been viewed as one of the most influential events to occur in the history of modern society in economic growth. The many new inventions helped people perform specific tasks in much shorter time periods, causing goods to be produced at a faster pace. The standard for living also improved for many, but resulted in often cruel employment and living conditions for the working classes and poor.
