The Industrial Revolution was a time of social and economic change which emphasized the power of humanity over nature. It was also an era of change which consisted of inventions that were mass produced to make life easier between 1750 and 1914. Although the Industrial Revolution led to efficient transportation and made Great Britain the center of world commerce, only the upper class got to truly enjoy that. The Industrial Revolution had spread to all around the world so the impact was more brutal. People that were not as fortunate and did not have as much money had to work in dangerous conditions to make a living. The new achievements and innovations brought about during the Industrial Revolution caused more harm than it helped because even though it lead to human advancement with new inventions, it also led to greater social inequality because of the enormous economic gap between social classes, the clash between the two ideologies, communism and capitalism, and environmental issues.
The Industrial Revolution led to social inequality because of the economic discrimination between social classes. The Industrial Revolution introduced new resources and lead to the production of many factories. This marked the beginning of the middle class starting to oppress the working class. The bourgeoisie, which consisted of bankers, factory owners, entrepreneurs, and other business owning people, started to use the development of factories to climb the social ladder. As it has been
