The positive social impacts that the Industrial Revolution had on Europe during the 19th century was it created many jobs for the working class people in factories, and it was the direct cause of the creation of the Liberal Party and helped influence more democratic ideals. Some negatives are that the Industrial Revolution created an even wider gap between the rich and poor because not factory and business owners were making tons of money and leaving the workers in poor conditions. The domestic living standard was abloshed and women now worked in the factories. Also the conservatives put down many of the revolts to try to keep the poor liberals down and it further divided the classes. Negative economic consequences include the pay going down
As Stephen Gardiner once said, “The industrial revolution was another one of those extraordinary jumps forward in the story of civilization.” The Industrial Revolution was in fact an extraordinary jump in the development of the U.S. It created a foundation for what the U.S is today socially, economically, and politically. The Industrial Revolution played a major role in the industrialization and modernization and still has effects to this day. These effects lead to more trade, better transportation, and modernization. It also had had many negative effects on America and England as well. These effects mainly focus on the social side of the Industrial Revolution. These effects include child labor, unfair wage, poor living conditions and poverty. When both the positive and negative effects are put together as a whole, the positive effects outweigh the negative. Mainly because they had a bigger effect on America and the world as a whole, and still affect us today. Because of the Industrial Revolution wages are more fair, living conditions are better, Manufacturing has drastically improved and children are no longer allowed to work in factories.
While some may argue that Industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because there was new inventions, the Industrial Revolution had actually negative outcomes on society. The negative effects of Industrialization included pollution, poverty, and unfortunate conditions inside the home and inside factories. These factors would impact the lives of immigrants and overall change the way we view society and prevent future outbreaks. And although the people living in this period did not know it yet, the new innovations being invented would change the world for the worse.
One negative effect of the Industrial Revolution was the poor working conditions in factories which were a big problem during the Industrial Revolution. Many people worked in factories, which had very tight spaces and poor lighting. Many
All in all the industrial revolution had a positive effect on society, accomplishing things many do not realize and creating a turn of events that would put the USA as the world power. New farming methods meant better diets, which lead to lower death rates. Efficient and useful inventions, as well as machinery, made it easier for people to work, and made more job opportunities, as well as enjoyment in the workplace. More and easier ways of travel became commonplace, such as railroads. In addition, as cities began to grow, streetlights provided safety at night, and our economy grew greatly. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily negative consequences for society because it caused children to be used as workers and made school
During the 18th century, the Industrial Revolution changed how goods are produced and also changed the lives of the working class. Britain and France began to modernize and factories and towns began to become more urban. The industrial revolution had both positive and negative effects on our history. The Industrial Revolution had many positive impacts on Britain and France during its time.
In the Industrial Revolution there was negative impacts and positive impacts in the 1800’s. For example, like our positive impacts were that production increased, cheaper goods, plus new products and many new inventions like iron for railroads and etc. The negative impacts were over population, lots of disease and people made invention of dynamite and etc.
The Industrial Revolution, as described by Stephen Gardiner, was “another of those extraordinary jumps forward in the story of civilization.” During this time period, some might argue that Industrialization had primarily negative consequences for society. Industrialization involved the use of child labor, negatively affected the environment, and had harsh working conditions in factories. However, I will counter that it actually had a greater positive effect for society. As a result of Industrialization, the United States rose to become the world’s largest economic power and people were able to enjoy new amenities that weren’t previously available.
Overall, the industrialization had a greater negative effect than positive effect on society for many reasons. The revolution had many positives that came with it, but I thought that there were just more negatives that overrode it in the long run. While some might argue that industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because child labor laws were not being abused was actually a negative thing for society. Industrialization’s negative effects were bad working conditions, unfair working/ labor rights, and separation from life. I would stress that one of the main things that was negative for society is the water borne disease, which killed more people than the war did.
The Industrial Revolution European society has been transformed greatly by the Industrial Revolution. Some of the changes were positive there were also negative ones. The positive changes benefitted the wealthy and the working class, while the negative affected the poor. These changes definitely affected society whether they were negative or positive. Some positive changes were an increase of jobs and a steady economy, as well as growing businesses.
The industrial revolution had a significant impacted in the way people live from then to now. Today, everyone lives in a consumer society and a person’s lifespan significantly increased which all started with the industrial revolution. Historically, there is an argument stating whether or not industrialization had an overall greater positive or negative effect on society. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily negative consequences for society because of the poor working conditions, it brought a positive thing for society. Industrialization’s positive effects were the amount of jobs it brought for workers, better transportation, and higher standard living.
After the Agricultural Revolution, the Industrial Revolution began in England in the late 1700s, and it raised the standard of living across the globe. However, while some might argue that Industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because of advanced economic growth, it was actually a negative thing for society. Industrializations negative effects were working conditions, living conditions, and child labor. Though the Industrial Revolution led to new creations such, as the steam engine and the railroads, in order to produce these machines it requires a great deal of labor.
While some might argue that industrialization had a primary positive consequences for society because no sanitation, it was actually a negative thing for society. Industrialization negative effects were pollution from factory, bad living and working conditions, and being over populated. The first one I will talk about is pollution of the air. Since so many people are working in the factory which was mostly children more gas would go into the air and this means more people could of gotten sick.
The Industrial Revolution had both positive and negative consequences on society. Many say that the Industrial Revolution would have never happened if the Agricultural Revolution didn’t occur. The Agricultural Revolution began with the creation of new labor saving inventions and techniques to help increase farm productivity and efficiency. The British Parliament then enacted The Enclosure Act which fenced off many small, peasant owned farms, and transformed them into one big farm. This drastically increased farm output. However, this threw many small farmers out of work and it was these farmers who became the major workforce for the textile factories. In the factories, the workers would make .While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because of economic growth and the higher standard of living, it was actually a negative thing for society. Industrialization’s
The Industrial Revolution that took place throughout the 18th and the 19th centuries had major effects which influenced every aspect of society and life such as, urbanization, imperialism and nationalism. The industrial revolution had an unfathomable effect on shaping the modern world to what it is today. Before the revolution, society revolved around farming and agriculture. There were only two social classes, the nobility and the working class. Little did they know, that their lives were about to change dramatically and continue changing for the next generations to come.
The Industrial Revolution had many positive and negative impacts on society. The positive include cheaper clothes, more job opportunities, and improvement in transportation. And the negative would include exploitation of women and children, workers work long hours and environmental damages. These are just a few that I believe had an impact on the Industrial Revolution.
