Conway Twitty had an interest in music at a very young age. He got his first guitar when he was four years old. At the age of ten, he started his first band. Along with performing music, Twitty also played baseball as a child (“Conway Twitty”). He was very talented at baseball. He had planned on becoming a professional baseball player, but he was unable to due to being drafted into the Army during the Korean War.
