Inspiration is found in every niche of life; it’s found in the desire to perform in athletics, music, and in school, while also being found in the moment of fondness with the love of your life. However, in my own life, my inspiration is to surpass the set limits that others impose on me. I thrive on overcoming these limits and excelling at what I set my mind to. This influence on my life is especially prevalent on the baseball field and in academics. When people first meet me, I often ponder what they see and how they judge me. I suspect they see a strong, but not intimidating person who is always being a complete weirdo. So, how would they judge me? Well, in all likeliness they don’t see me as a person who is a threat in any aspect to their
Jackie Robinson changed baseball forever the instant he stepped on the field. “Robinson broke the color barrier in sport that had been geregated for more than 50 years(History.com)”. “His awe-inspiring performances helped integrate all of baseball(amhistory.si.edu)”. With his spirit and attitude he didn’t change just baseball, but also the racism in America. He brought hope to African Americans, by showing that dreams can be accomplished.
To be inspired is the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative. There are many inspiring people in the world, but do they all work for their dreams? So many people get credit for things that are just handed to them, unlike Carli Lloyd. Carli was born on July 16, 1982 in Delran, New Jersey. Little did her parents know that their daughter would be the best women soccer player in the world by 2013. Followed with the downfalls of her career, Lloyd made huge accomplishments towards her goal of being on the U.S. Women's National Team. Along with soccer, Carli wrote the book When Nobody was Watching which inspired millions of athletes, including myself. This book is about everything that Carli
What's the first person you think of when you hear the word inspiration? Why does that person come to mind?Tyler Oakley comes to my mind.Tyler Oakley is ….He is also known as the “Queen of Youtube.”He was born in Detroit Michigan March 22,1989.Tyler also works with The Trevor Project (The Trevor Project is a nonprofit organization that helps prevent suicide among LGBTQ+ youth )
All success starts with inner motivation. The most talented people that are living have an inner motivation that started their success story. The book “Anthem,” by Ayn Rand portrays the character Equality's main motivation which is individuality. Through his fearless discoveries he finally realizes the truth and that truth will set him free.
Many people become leaders and inspire those around them with inspirational words that can determine them to be, or do anything they want. Alex Morgan inspires young and developing soccer players with these encouraging words, “Dream big because dreams do happen.” Clearly, she wants young athletes to be confident and ambitious to do anything they set their minds too, if they are resolute and credulous. Lindsey Vonn says, “Follow your dreams. If you have a goal, and you want to achieve it, then work hard and do everything you can to get there, and one day it will come true.” Obviously, she definitely put in a lot of hard, laborious work to be where she is today and inspires others to show that if you work hard enough for what you want, it will
Have you ever had someone inspire you to do something that you know will be difficult? Nate Robinson inspired me to train for my first basketball dunk. Nate Robinson said “God blessed me with a lot of heart and no height, and I’ll take that any day.” I always thought I was too small to dunk, but after I watched Nate Robinson win the 2006, 2009, and 2010 slam dunk contest he gave me the motivation to dunk. What makes Nate Robinson special is that he is only 5’9”. I knew that it would be a long journey because I would need to do certain exercises for my legs, start eating a better diet for muscle growth, and I needed to keep myself motivated.
It was an ordinary sunday afternoon in late May, smoldering hot and filled with travel baseball. In a small town outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma, my 14 year old traveling team was playing in the tournament semifinals. Myself, in particular, had been struggling throughout the tournament, but I wouldn't let it affect my attitude going into this game. Due to my determination to win, I was able to lead my team to victory.
Inspiration is a strong word for a powerful feeling. It's a word that has been attached to great historical figures or grand, almost otherworldly moments and events, but as a society today, we use it too much and use it too lightly, almost to the point that it has lost its potency. But, that doesn't mean we've lost the meaning of the word or it can't be found anymore. As Leaders of the Pack touchingly documents, it can be found right in front of your nose and you may not even know of it or the person from which it came. It can be found in the lives of everyday people, living in some of the most extreme conditions, such as Alaska during the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.
My personal inspiration is to achieve something great, which I belief contributes to how motivated I am towards my academics. I want to impact the world in some positive way, and I know I will only achieve this if I stay motivated. So far, this system has worked out. Rarely have I dedicated a lot of time to something, and not gained from the experience in some
Even if you can’t find inspiration or ideas in the world, through books, newspapers, or even outside your
Baseball is a game of skill that is played with a hard ball and a bat between two teams of nine players each at a time on the playing field at once. Although many different people play Baseball all over the world it is most popular in the United States. It is so popular in fact, it is referred to as the national pastime of the United States because of the tradition and popularity associated with the game. Baseball consists of many complicated rules. It also has a very elaborate history. One can not fully understand the game America has grown to love until learning about not only the rules but also the history.
To be honest the ONLY people that inspire me are people with retarded busy schedules like myself that make it work. I am a finance manager, I also own my own company called EFIT and I am currently shooting a reality show, I do modeling on the side, I blog for Faith and Fitness magazine, I write a column for a huge Houston newspaper and I am on Team Labrada so I work with them when I can, I hustle and it is what drives me. I love success and I love to write down my goals and check them off the
However, that doesn’t mean one should forget about the latter’s life-changing possibilities! Seeking Inspiration Thankfully, nowadays inspiration is all around us. The Internet, for one, is teeming with inspiring stories. There are lots of those
Ever since I was born I was always told I was a child with a huge imagination and big bright future. Many people could easily tell I was going places with my life. With such a huge imagination, not many things could allow my gift to be hugely expressive and big in the ways I wanted. I struggled to find the thing I wanted to do my junior high and high school years of school. My parents wanted me to be in sports such as football, basketball, and wrestling. Although those are amazing sports I didn’t feel as if I could express myself enough in those sports.
I have always been known as an athlete. My parents were both avid athletes in their youth, and throughout middle school I participated in every sport I could. Throughout high school, as line one signals in tennis and the starting striker on the soccer team sports seem to define me, however, there is more to me than running around on a field every day after school. Every Wednesday, I can be found in Yearbook club creating layouts, editing photos, and collaborating with my fellow editors. Not long after joining yearbook I discovered that I was able to express my creativity in a way sports had never let me. I had always dabbled in the arts, but yearbook was my first time committing to my creative side and allowing myself to innovate with design.
