Interpersonal Communication Textual Analysis

December 31, 2016 about 8 o’clock I got a text from my friend. It wasn't unusual because she always text me this late but this conversation wasn't like any conversation we had this conversation was spine chilling. She text me and said “Hey lamia can I use your Facebook for something” me being a good friend I am I gave her my password and thought nothing else about it. I was on the phone with my bestfriend when I get some messages from my friend,Kelly, that said “Wow” so I texted back and said “What?” But I never got a response little did I know this would be the end everything would change from the moment on. As days went on she started acting different by looking at my messages and not texting back. I saw her at the store and spoke to her

When this assignment was given out, I instantly knew exactly what relationship I wanted to analyze: my ex-boyfriend’s and my relationship. It might sound like an odd relationship to choose, seeing as he is an ex, and it might not sound like a good starting point, but let me first say he is one of my best friends right now.

Communication takes place in any and all locations, intentionally and unintentionally, and it can be positive or negative. Many of our personal traits and character qualities can affect how we communicate with other people, and how they communicate with us. Recently, I had an experience that further proved this point to me in a very real and tangible way.

The most difficult aspect of testifying is having stage fright. Some officers and or people are not comfortable with speaking out loud and clear for all to hear in a public courtroom setting. Not only must the person testifying have to go through a direct examination but also a cross examination where it is intended to destroy the person's credibility.

Communication is important whether it’s through Wrike, email, phone or in person. I think its best to speak to someone in person, particularly when questions arise, rather then write all questions in Wrike or email. This helps with building relationships with colleagues. For keeping all important project information in one place where all vested parties have access to, I do like using Wrike. If any relevant conversations take place, I will summarize the information there for all to see.

As a Film, Media and Video communication major, I have been learn and gaining value skills that would help in future job opportunities. My interpersonal communication skills helps me connection with not only in a professional workplace, but communities as well. My experience noted in my resume that different help further develop this skill. My organization and leaderships skills will really benefit this position because I am able to multitask while keeping everything in order.

After reading chapters 1 and 2 from our class textbook, I have more knowledge now then before I started reading yesterday morning. Like I mentioned in the experience assignment, I am a (sports) communications major. Having great interpersonal skills is going to be the bread and butter to whatever job I have in the future. Before I started reading chapter 1, I sat and thought about what (in my opinion) is the most important interpersonal skill. With the type of job I hope to have, both verbal and non-verbal communication seem to be at the top of my list.

Imagine you are in New York City on your way to a meeting for work. You stop and feel your pocket for the piece of paper that contains the actual address and directions in your pocket, but it is not there. You must have left it in your apartment but there is no time to go back. You remember the name of the restaurant but have no idea where it is. You realize that you are lost and need help finding where to go. You look over at the crosswalk and a woman your age is walking across the street. You have two options: Either take out your phone and search on google maps for directions, or walk over to the women who is crossing the street and ask her. You decide to ask the girl for directions and as it turns out she is headed there too on her lunch

Communication can affect many aspects of a conversation. As a team member, you have to be able to communicate effectively with others in order to work on a team. Yelling and being belligerent, can cause major conflicts if you use them within a group professional setting.

Throughout our whole lives, we spend the majority of our time communicating in some way or form. Many people in today’s society are uninformed of all the key concepts and importance of communication, such as interpersonal communication. One major concept in the field of communication is Interpersonal Communication. Many concepts of Communication can be demonstrated in everyday life or even in our favorite movies. This analysis is from the movie, “Blind Side”. There are many concepts of Interpersonal Communication included in this film. Self Concept, Self Esteem, Stereotype, Perception, and Stages of Relationship are just a few concepts that are utilized throughout this movie.

Scott and Craig-lees (2010) organized an experiment that analyzed if product placement, inclusion of branded products that appear through audio or visual means, influenced audience engagement through levels of pleasure, arousal, and cognitive effort. The researchers focused on specific variables that may influence the effects product placement has on their audience. For example, engagement (attention), involvement( interest ), connectedness ( to the program), engrossment( absorption of media) , immersion (psychological state), and transportation (losing real world facets while viewing). Communication skills are very important to help develop friendships and to help building a strong social support network. Communication skills also help you take care of your own personal needs, while also being respectful of other people’s needs. Communication skills are learned through trial and error. The three areas of communication which are needed and should be practiced are nonverbal communication, conversation skills and assertiveness.

Upon parking the car where several other cars were also located I began to walk towards the side of the all brick building towards the entrance door. While walking on the sidewalk I crossed paths with a several of people also leaving the same event saying how amazing the show was and giving their opinion of the artwork. Writing and communication is very important, rather you are using it in the classroom or out. However, growing up I really struggled with both writing and communication, and it took quit a while to face my fears. I know that the profession that I'm desiring will require a lot of writing and communication. After, graduating high school my first year of college was a struggle. Although, it took a lot of time and dedication, but I can say my writing has improved tremendously over the years. I'm ready to reduce any frustration and fear that may come my way, so I can soar through this writing-based program (Chamber,2016). The one thing I would share with others, is don't write like you talk. This would help avoid poor writing skills and you should
