Irony is the difference between what seems to be and what actually is. The definition of irony is a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result. There are many examples of irony in the story the night that I am about to tell you about there is verbal irony, situationally irony, and dramatic irony.
One example I’m going to show you is about dramatic irony is Madame Schafer she see’s fire when they are on the train to Auschwitz from a very long distance and keeps on screaming that they are going to be burned alive so the people on the train had to quiet her down by hitting her in the head over and over till she had stopped yelling and crying and she was quiet again.
