Is Conformity Inevitable In Society

Most people don’t want to grow up and want everything done easily just like my friend Jack. Jack thought he could stay little forever and that others would care for him and do things for him whenever he wanted. Later in life he had encountered high school. This is where he found out that life will not always be easy every single time. Also that he can’t stay little forever which meant he has to grow up and be responsible for what he does. I told him that this connected with a book called, “The Catcher in the Rye”. There are some who say conformity is not inevitable. However, conforming to society is to following the easy way out of things while knowing that you grow up at every step you take. To begin, conformity is inevitable in society because you just want to do what is easy. Doing things that are easy can be a variety of things including lying. Lying can be seen in Source D which says, “I’m the most terrific liar you ever saw in your life. It’s awful”(Salinger 19). Lying is something we do because it’s easier. We can’t face the truth because it’s hard or we just want others to know. Here in this quote Holden keeps lying and it seems he’s comfortable with lies because it’s easier. Another thing that can be considered easy would be doing same things as others. In other words fitting in. A example of this can be seen in Source C. Source C has a picture which shows a group of people being similar while one person is so different (Fish). When we try to be like everyone else
