Chapter 1 During the offseason before his freshman season at Ole Miss, Cooper Manning felt numbness in his right bicep. Archie Manning, Cooper’s father, rushed him to the Mayo Clinic, where he underwent testing. The results of the tests would change his life forever. Cooper Manning was born on March 6, 1974, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Cooper was the first child of Archie and Olivia Manning, and he is the oldest brother of Peyton and Eli Manning. Yup, that Peyton Manning. Cooper came from of a family of very talented quarterbacks, but unlike his brothers and father, he did not play quarterback. He decided to play wide receiver. His father once admitted he was

At that time since most offenses were mostly dependent on the run game, one thousand yards was a big deal. The last person to have one thousand yards receiving in high school was Odell Beckham Jr. in 2010, and Odell is now a star wide receiver in the NFL, and Eli Manning’s favorite receiver. This great year during his senior season is what allowed Cooper to get a full scholarship to Ole Miss, or Mississippi University. Cooper’s injury also led to Peyton not playing as well as he could have in his junior year at Isidore Newman High School. In honor of Cooper, Peyton changed his number to 18, which was the number that Cooper wore during his time at Isidore Newman Middle and Highs School and at his short time at Ole Miss. If Cooper did not get hurt, God knows what he could have achieved. He could have played with either Peyton or Eli in the NFL, and won a number of Super Bowls, or he could have played with Tom Brady, and led the Patriots to even more Super Bowls. Due to his injury Cooper Manning is commonly known as the lost
He is the youngest player to ever make it on the cover of a Madden game. In the 2014-15 season, it only took him twelve receptions to reach 1000 yards. One of the reasons he is so good at catching a football with one hand is because he practices doing it before every game. Odell is the twelfth best ranked player in overall stats during this 2015 season. He has broken many of the New York Giants records for catches, touchdowns, and total yards. Still, he goes back and watches his old team play at LSU. He does this because he feels it’s the right thing to do and Louisiana State is in his
It was a freezing night, with snow glazing over the three-hundred and sixty foot field. The previously undefeated Patriots stood like goliath, immune to death glares and “boos” echoing around the Denver stadium. The swirl of the snow made it difficult to see exactly where the ball was, but near the end of the night, it was clear that the Broncos would soon defeat their giant, all the while being lead by an intrepid, young quarterback. This astonishing win wasn’t just a victory for the Broncos, but for Brock Osweiler as well.
The game-winning touchdown caught by Donnell Wilson had everyone talking Monday morning at school. The “catch” many not have actually been as amazing as described though. An assistant coach for the University of Nebraska stated about Donnell Wilson, “Has poor hands and only average speed” (Doc. 9)
He carried that hard work and determination in high school where he became an All American in football at his school while breaking multiple records and maintaining an exceptionally good GPA of 3.5. Having a lot of prior knowledge about football helps you understand the history of some things. John David Crow is the first person that comes to mind when I think about the Heisman Trophy. Although Crow was a native from Marion in North Louisiana, he found his way west to Springhill. Here at Springhill High School, he dominated throughout his career setting many records and accomplishing multiple goals. Crow and his fellow teammates also won a state championship, which was one of two that Springhill holds in football. With a dominating high school campaign such as Crow had, there was no doubt college coaches from all over the country was trying to sign him up at their university. Being a smart thinker of football, he decided to go play for the legendary Paul “Bear” Bryant at Texas A&M. To be one of the best, you have to play for one of the best so you can get in a great system to be successful. John David Crow’s senior season at Texas A&M was one that no one could ever forget. He was superman of the team because he did almost everything. He ran the ball, caught the ball, caught interceptions for opposing offenses, and tackled the opponents. After the season, Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant stated, “If John David Crow does not win the Heisman Trophy, they ought to stop giving it.”() He was the first aggie to win it and was also the only one of Bryant’s players to win it. It does not matter where you are from, anyone can accomplish the goal of winning the Heisman Trophy with hard work and

Going to the NFL showed how strong Pat’s work ethic was. Pat got in the weight room right away all the time working at his goal to get a football scholarship. When Pat was drafted into the NFL he wasn’t satisfied, they told him he might get to be on special teams. With Pats hard work and dedication he gained the starting spot for Arizona State. Getting cut from the baseball team didn’t stop Pat, it made him work harder to exceed his goal and play college football. Tillman was constantly working his hardest for his teammates, his coaches, and the fans. Pat had a work ethic that no one else could compare
Walter Payton Walter Payton once said “Never die easy”. I like this quote because to me it means don't give up. In my essay I’ll be telling you why Walter Payton is an honorary person. One way Walter Payton changed football history. How he changed it was by having the most yards till it got broke.
The three sons of legendary quarterback Archie Manning also became talented football players. Peyton Manning began playing quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts in 1998,he holds many records. Peyton's younger brother, Eli, began playing quarterback for the New York Giants in 2004. Peyton led the Colts to a Super Bowl victory over the Chicago Bears in 2006, two years later, Eli led the Giants to a Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots. The oldest Manning brother is Cooper he is less well-known than Peyton and Eli. In high school, Cooper wasn't satisfied being a third-string quarterback he became a wide receiver. His father helped him perfect his receiving skills,Cooper didnt drop a single pass his entire junior year! As a senior,

The crestfallen look on Eli Manning's face as he dressed told you he knows the real score. The Giants sputtered for three quarters, failing to score even a single point and moving the ball better than they have this season only to be stopped by questionable officials' calls, third-down failures and one terrible McAdoo play call at the goal line.
