Elie Wiesel had a tough childhood growing up. He never thought he’d end up in a camp and being treated horribly. Luckily he survived through it all, and wrote it all in one book. He was a very nice and kind-hearted person, even after what they did to him and his family. His life was tragic due to the Holocaust, but it later helped him in life.

There are a lot of inspiring and well-known heroes, but there was one among them that stood out. William Avery Bishop who is known as Billy Bishop he is a legendary and a great Canadian hero who captured and won the respect of his enemies, comrades, and the world. He was an intelligent and courageous man who inspired many younger generations. Billy Bishop was a pilot who served Canada during the time of the world war. This great Canadian became one of the legendary figures in the 20th-century air warfare. He was born and raised in Ontario and later he joined Royal Flying Corps. Billy Bishop is significant mainly because of his achievement and involvement in the war.

Elie Wiesel was a strong individual until he was forced against his will to go to a few different concentration camps in the Holocaust. In those camps he lost a lot of his personality and was never the same after.

At such a young age, both were exposed to life’s hardships. Mr. Wiesel had to endure the hell that was the German concentration camps while fighting the urge the finally give in to Death. Christopher’s life as a kid has been primarily filled with poverty, violence, alcoholism, and the absence of a father figure. They were taught early on that life is simply unfair. Despite these obstacles, both Mr. Wiesel and Mr.Gardner found determination within themselves and kept pushing for their eventful miracle. Fortunately, they were alive long enough to see their said miracle. Once they surpassed those events, they chose to write autobiographical books around their lowest point in their lives and their journey from “rag to riches.” Mr.Wiesel’s Night and Mr. Gardner’s The Pursuit of Happyness proved to be well received and phenomenal books towards the people. Lastly, their last prominent similarity is their generosity. Although they are practically set for life, these 2 gentlemen chose to give back to the world by teaching.
