I found the biography of Isadore Sharp to be a great read not only because of his inspirational success story, but also because I could relate it to my own life. We both lived as immigrants with parents working endlessly. The way he admired his parents, is similar to how I look up to mine. He described his father as hardworking and his mother as strong minded. That would also be how I would describe my mother, she is very diligent and is always pushing me to succeed. We both owe our accomplishments to the way we were raised. Isadore Sharp measures success in the lives he benefited, rather than material possessions. That is the same for me, I never measured self worth from materialistic values. My goal in life is to make a difference in other
Elie Wiesel had a tough childhood growing up. He never thought he’d end up in a camp and being treated horribly. Luckily he survived through it all, and wrote it all in one book. In the book, I Have Lived a Thousand Years, Ms. Bitton-Jackson describes her stories with many impactful stories. There were many qualities displayed throughout her whole book, such as courage, triumph, and loyalty, which helped Ms. Bitton-Jackson and her family get through the Holocaust. The three qualities that I chose to exemplify in this essay were hope, love, and perseverance.

Fortunately, they were alive long enough to see their said miracle. Once they surpassed those events, they chose to write autobiographical books around their lowest point in their lives and their journey from “rag to riches.” Mr.Wiesel’s Night and Mr. Gardner’s The Pursuit of Happyness proved to be well received and phenomenal books towards the people. Lastly, their last prominent similarity is their generosity. Although they are practically set for life, these 2 gentlemen chose to give back to the world by teaching. He combines these appeals to write a great and interesting paper that motivates and entertains us all at once.
