Isis, Black Madonna, Madonna and child, and Virgin Mary are all related topics. They have some common area that brings them together. They all involve in religion in catholic and orthodox countries. They are all looked at as important religious women figures. They are/were the women to be in ancient African Catholicism. Isis was one of the first worship Gods. She was goddess of the dead and sick; she brought the dead and sick back to health, and cared for her people. People looked at Isis as the perfect mother. This is the model that women strived to be. Along with this, the Virgin Mary was the mother of all heavenly and was depicted as being black in ancient African society. This is important because those are who women looked up to in faith.
The Lady of Guadalupe is a huge part of the Mexican tradition, and how many people look up to her in a very godly way. She is important, because she reminds people of their appreciation for their own cultures, along with the other cultures that are all over the world.
