It was a Friday night. The sun had just set a few hours ago, and the streets were still crowded with people going about their business. The street was the primary route to walk when go somewhere; such a thing was common sense. However, there was one particular person who ignored that common sense, and chose the back alleys every time. His name was Logan Cross. He was average height, had messy black hair, and was caramel skinned with green eyes. He wore a dark colored top and dark colored jeans. He was a college student who was in his second term of his first year. And he was just heading home. The reason why he avoided the streets, wasn 't because he was some shady criminal who wanted to avoid eyes of the public. No, It was because he wanted to avoid people in general. Logan was an introvert who preferred to be alone most of the time. However, he took meaning introvert to another level. He found socializing bothersome, and goes through great lengths to avoid it. Even though he was incredibly smart, he purposely aimed for average grades. Even though he 's a natural athlete, he tries not to stand out in sporting events. Even though he could 've been really attractive if he put a little effort in his appearance, he chose not to. Why did he do all this? Simple, it 's to avoid unnecessary attention. Don 't be mistaken. It 's not like Logan is afraid of people, or is a shy person. It 's just that to him keeping up appearances to please others, was a pain in the ass. So
When he transferred from a small middle school to a big high school he did not fit in with the social crowd and was outcasted. Other boys at his school would teased him and called him names like nerd because of the way he look like. Logan had always received good grades and done well in school but had soon stop caring about school and more about his social life. He even started to change the way he look, talk, and acted so he could fit in with the popular crowd at school. Logan says,"To me, a good day at school was no longer about doing well in class.
I couldn't tolerate it. (page 15). Reveals that he is afraid of society’s perception of him, so much so that it forces him renounce his actions of fleeing to Canada
him that he could not leave and it did not allow anyone to find out where he was
Some critics claimed that the making of threats to him and his family were a possibilities of reason to go into hiding he, or because being so famous at the time that it was just getting to him and he needed a way out. While these may seem to very possible
he tended to live under the radar of the public eye as not to bring trouble to him nor his family.
It is impossible for me to perceive him as his adversaries did, way back then. He may have been unfairly stereotyped in the darkness of the countless pool halls he undoubtedly knew inside and out, because he had a fearless confidence about him, borne of circumstance and an irrepressible will to succeed. But most remarkably, there was a timeless light that emanated from his charisma.
Having six siblings as a child, and being the youngest, not much attention was payed to him. His family was not very wealthy, and having five other siblings did not help. His father was in World War II,so he grew up most of the time with basically one other boy in the house, his older brother. Growing up, he was generally left to himself, so he was out of the house often, more and more as he grew up, with his friends. He did not play any organized sports, because their really was not enough time for it with so many children, although his brother was involved in Little League Baseball.
Many people called him foolish and an idiot for abandoning his good life, as well as going into the wild highly unprepared. It seemed to be a suicidal trip with the few things he decided to keep, the rest was abandoned or given away. Despite the highly wealthy life with parents who always gave him gifts and tried to show love. Many were blinded to the dark parts of his life, blinded about how he was raised and what kind of relationships he had with his
His appearance combined with the time and place he lived in made many things in his life difficult to accomplish but it also made him, Oscar Zeta Acosta, a strong and honorable man. Starting with the fact that there was a lot of racism, drugs and violence going on while he was growing up. Violence especially was a big issue. In those days, firearms were owned by anyone who either had the money or knew a way to get it and most of the times they fell into the wrong hands.
He felt the city turn to its thousands of doors. Faster! Leg up, leg down ! “Four ! " The people sleepwalking in their hallways” (132).

“I learned early on that in the streets, it was dog-eat-dog and survival of the fittest.” Here he shows that he was safe nowhere.
He cared immensely about his work and wanted to be able to provide for his family. In this quote from the text we are able to see that “When I found you and Cory and a halfway decent job... I was safe.... I wasn't going back to the penitentiary. I wasn't gonna lay in the streets with a bottle of wine.
In Robert Frost’s “The Road Not Taken”, Frost shows the everyday human struggle to make a choice that could change the course of one’s life. In his poem, a person has the choice to take one road or the other. One road is worn out from many people taking it, and the other is barely touched, for fewer have taken that road. Throughout the poem, the speaker learns that just because so many other people have done one thing, or walked one way, does not mean everyone has to. Sometimes you just have to go your own way.
that influenced his content was the fact that he was a virgin till his mid twenties. He had a shyness problem and horrible acne. Those factors in his youth were ingredients to being an outcast in mainstream society, which is bound to make one different in few ways or another.
