(lead·er /ˈlēdər/ - A person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country.) This is the actual definition of a leader, yet when thinking about a leader this is not what comes to someone’s mind. In today’s society the word leader has been tossed around an astronomical amount of times, and as this happens people begin to develop stereotypical assumptions about someone, or how someone should act. Such as an attractive, skinny, and opinionated male. Someone that stands up for what they believe in. Someone that can relate to the others. In the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding we have multiple leader figures that show their leadership potential, some more than others. But who was the actual leader?

A survivor looks like a student struggling through classes, a soldier fighting for his or her country, a parent dealing with the hate of a teenager. A survivor looks like a survivor, and a survivor looks like anyone and everyone. Each survivor has a wide range of characteristic they use to enable their survival.

Colonel Patterson knew the Israeli government would say something
