Waylon Arnold Jennings born June 15th 1937 in Littlefield, Texas. His parents was Lorene Beatrice and William Albert Jennings. His ancestors was descendent Irish and black-Dutch. They originally lived in Tennessee until they moved to Texas. His name on his birth certificate was Wayland. In which they had no idea of the spelling until a Baptist preacher came and congratulated them for naming him after the Wayland Baptist University which is in Plainview, Texas. His mother unaware of the college changed the spelling to Waylon. He said in an autobiography that "I didn’t like Waylon. It sounded corny and hillbilly, but it's been good to me, and I'm pretty well at peace with it right now."

HIV is a virus that interferes with the body’s ability to fight infections. If left untreated, the patient will progress into the advanced stage of the infection with symptoms that are referred to as Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). HIV/AIDS can be transmitted through shared bodily fluids, sexual contact, and from mother to fetus. There was social stigma associated with HIV. The perspective was derived from the assumption that HIV/AIDS only manifested amongst homosexuals and intravenous drug users. As such, those affected by the disease found little support from the government and political establishments. At the time, NBA player, Magic Johnson, used his public presence to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS, and became a voice for those affected by the disease.

“Sonny’s Blues,” which is an outstanding short story by James Baldwin, describes many obstacles in lifestyles and relationships of African-Americans in the influential time of post Harlem Renaissance and discrimination in the 1950s. In the end of the story, the nightclub setting is the most important and emotional turning point of the brotherhood between narrator and his young brother, Sonny. After many conflicts and arguments about their different ideals and lifestyles, Sonny tries to open his heart to let his brother understand him by inviting the narrator to come to his jazz music performance at a small nightclub in Greenwich Village. At this place, he meets friends of Sonny, acquaint himself with jazz music and tries to get into Sonny’s world. He carefully observes any changes of his brother on the stage. Sonny is nervous and has trouble in the beginning of the performance. However, Sonny quickly gets back on track. His music seems to touch everyone, including his brother, by its beauty and freedom. The narrator becomes proud of Sonny. Eventually, he recognizes his brother’s talent and understands that Sonny was born to be a real musician.

In the novel Animal Farm by George Orwell, Orwell creates a world in which animals formulate a plan to take over the farm against the humans.
