Jeanna Jones is 46 years old and is legally blind, in addition to that, she has a learning disability. Jones disorder has been depriving her of her centralized vision since 5 years old. Her disorder is called macular degeneration. When Jones was in her 30s, she discovered that she had a learning disabilty along with a condition called atypical retinitis pigmentosa. Studing at Americans with Disabilities Act, helped Jones remeber her childhood dream of becoing a lawyer. With new technology comes new ways to let disabilied people use more items. An example is, voice recognition screen readers can help peole who are blind. For instance, eye-tracking programs can make using computers simple for people who can´t move their hands.

Initially, I would examine and assess Mr. Jones’ criminal history and background to learn information of his habitual criminal offenses since he apparently has an extensive history dating back from his childhood. I would look at the types of crimes that he committed, his familial circumstances, his educational background, as well as any other social contacts he may have had throughout his life up to and including during his incarceration.

They were assertive and professional, one of my favorites was, “The decision is yours how would you like to proceed.” By saying that, you allow the person to recollect their thoughts and give them a chance to turn things around. The world of technology is constantly growing and changing. There are so many different technologies out in the world that are being used to help so many people. One of the many technologies I have learned about is an assistive car. Nick seemed to be physically disabled and was in a wheelchair. He also seemed to have many different tools to help him with everyday things. Another technology that Nick used was a slide board. Nick used this so that he was able to type on a regular laptop because his hands didn’t work the way a normal hand would work. These tools where just two of the many technologies that I sure Nick uses, in order to be more independent in every day life.
