LOCATION: 396 Jefferson
TYPE OF INCIDENT: Shooting
Case Number: 16-40349 According to a Lt. Shawn Mayo of the Billings Police Department, Police officers responded to a 911 call that reported a weapons complaint at the intersection of Jefferson and Kratz street.
While en-route to the shooting police officers were informed that a white male had fired 5 of 6 rounds in front of the corner house (396 Jefferson) and three vehicles had fled the area.
Officers arrived on scene, and located shell casings in the street at the listed location. At the same time officers were informed a male and a female had sought medical attention at Billings Clinic for gunshot wounds.

According to several witnesses, they heard more than just a few guns shots being fired.
Not only was there a white male who was seen holding and firing a hand pistol, also a black male with Dreadlocks quickly drove away from the scene in a red vehicle. That man lives behind Jefferson on Monroe Street. Witness told the Montana News that this black man drives back and forth all the time on Jefferson street.
The people that live in the house at 396 Jefferson, are a young couple that have 5 children ages from junior high down.
The night of the shooting there were as many as 8-10 people either at the house or in front of the house on the street (396) Jefferson Street.
According to Tonya Ludwig who lives 1 house down from 396 Jefferson, the people that were living in 396 Jefferson are renting only, and just moved in about 2 weeks ago.
Other witnesses stated that this was not just over drugs, but a disagreement also. The bullet holes in the van and the house reveal that a large caliber hand gun was used. It appears based on eye witness accounts that only one gun was actually fired and used, however more than two guns were
Officer McNeil, along with three other officers, arrived on the scene just after midnight. Upon exiting their vehicles, a nearby pedestrian opened fire striking Officer McNeil several times. Officer McNeil returned fire and wounded the suspect. The suspect ran into an adjacent apartment complex and was captured after several hours of barricading himself inside.
Kenneth Shaw stated he saw 3 or 4 males standing around one of the building prior to getting shot.
While patrol officers were clearing the residence to make sure there was no one left in the house there was a assault type rifle located in the bedroom located in the East end of the residence.
This is Kwabena Agyemang with CNN reporting on a breaking news story about the shooting on Maple Street. One man, named Pete Van Horn, was shot and killed yesterday night, on November 3. There are three suspects in this case; Don Martin, Charlie Farnsworth, and Steve Brand. These three men’s fingerprints were found on the gun that was used to kill Pete Van Horn.
According to The Columbus Dispatch, the woman who identified herself only as Lanita called 911 after the incident and was quoted saying, “Somebody just broke into my house, and they’re shot. They’re in my kitchen, and I don’t know if they’re alone or what. I heard a whole bunch of rattling on my side door.”

A key issue, in this case, was the purported location of the assassin at the time the shot was fired. Unfortunately, data regarding the trajectory of the bullet was unobtainable in this case since the dissection of the bullet’s path was not performed by Dr. Francisco during his autopsy, nor was it ever determined what Dr. King’s exact position was at the time of the shooting. However, based on eyewitness testimony at the time of impact, it was determined that the shooter fired from the bathroom window at the rear of a rooming house at 422 1/2 South Street in Memphis.

Allegedly assumptions were made and the resident might have thought the two young players were stealing something in the neighborhood. Running towards the vehicle, the resident shot at the players inside the car.
As it turned out, some policemen outside did in fact heard the gunshots, since they were originally chasing down the recently slain gang member. The reason being had nothing to do with the loud music coming from a party at the brick house down the street. Instead, it has more to do with the gang member being wanted by police, after being indicted for several counts of drug and human trafficking.
On Sunday at 1:30 a.m. police responded to New Orleans shooting in the French Quarter. The police have not found a motive for the shooting, but two men have been arrested on firearms charges. The victims included: two females and eight males, which one had died later on in a hospital.

A massive shooting happened in Las Vegas at a country music festival on the Las Vegas Strip. The shooter fired from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. 58 people were killed and over 500 people were injured. Witnesses said that it lasted around 15 minutes. The suspect was a 64 year old man named Stephen Paddock, who he is now dead according to authorities. After the first shots, many people got into their cars to pick up others to save them and give them cover. Some people got on top of others to save them and take a bullet for them. Others pushed civilians to the side and saved them from getting shot.
After the incident, first responders administered CPR and treated the victim's wounds that he got on the back, shoulder, and head after he was shot by the gun.
