A primer, or undercoat, is a base layer of paint that goes on a wall before the actual color of paint. A wall painted dark red will need several layers of primer in order to be painted a light blue. Think of that dark red wall as a speech, or piece of writing. Those first pages will need renovation after renovation to get to the final product; the light blue wall. Before John F.
