John Locke was a “British philosopher, Oxford academic and medical researcher.” (John Locke- Stanford) Locke was born in 1632 and lived until 1704. Locke went to the Westminster School in London, which at the time was very well respected. Locke got a “bachelor's degree in 1656, and a master's degree in 1658.” (John Locke- philosophybasics.com) Locke did many great things during his time. Locke believed strongly in natural rights. He came up with the idea of life, liberty, and property. He used government to protect natural rights. Locke had an opportunistic view of human nature.
