Joseph Galloway was a true American that had the potential to play a large part in the future democracy due to his past as a lawyer, as an elected official, and a close relationship with Benjamin Franklin, which were all shown through his appearances in Philadelphia’s Supreme Court, his elected position as Speaker in a provincial assembly, and his correspondence with Franklin.
